LABRANDA Ephesus Princess
Ranked #11 of 34 Hotels in Selcuk
Reviewed 15 October 2017

We were two couples stayed 6 nights in this hotel in early October 2017. I will explain this hotel part to part:

1- Reception: The reception process didn't take long but we arrived there at 5 in morning and took our rooms at 14 because the hotel was full of guests.

2- Room: We stayed in club room just in front of the aqua park (no. p6 and p7) It was big enough, clean and new but had no views. It should be said that these rooms P5-P8 are the nearest club rooms to the main building, front door, pools and beach and ...
3- Pools: Nice, clean but very cold. There are a lot of sunbeds around the pool but as I said they were almost always full because the hotel was full of guests.

4- Beach: There is no sandy beach, a pier shape area which they make half of it sandy. There is a long stairway from the lowest floor of the main building to beach but there is also a shuttle every 15 minutes from the lobby to beach and in reverse direction.

5- Staff: They are mostly welcoming and helpful especially the barmen (all of them) but there was a guy in towel service which was always trying to push you to use SPA and it was annoying.

6- Foods and beverages: Not bad in quality, breakfast and dinner were good in variety and quantity but I think that launch should have more variety (The other two hotels I have been in before were better). Beverages were like other hotels in this area and acceptable.

7- Entertainment: There is almost no entertainment in this hotel, there are some people trying to do something but they are not professional at all. The night shows are average.

8- Disco: The area is amazing, light show and bar are good but the DJ was not experienced enough.

Eventually, this hotel is good but you can find better hotels in this area.

Room Tip: Rooms in the main building has sea view, the club rooms were clean.

Me and my partner recently stayed for 10 days in one of the villa's. Firstly the floor was dirty when we arrived and didn't get any better the whole trip. The maids were friendly enough but sometimes wouldn't turn up to clean your room until 16:00 onwards and one day didn't turn up at all. The A/C was broke but the temperature was bearable at night so this wasn't too much of an issue. The villa's are quite a walk to the main area of the resort/hotel so don't stay in a villa if you want some short walks. The view from the whole complex was outstanding.

The food was very average. Breakfast had very limited options and the lunch and dinner was very repetitive. We ate out 4 times. The eating area is also very dirty with the same stained table cloths being used each meal time and the seats are broke and stained also. There was a lack of urgency to get anything cleaned, this was clearly the standard and it was disappointing. Depending on where you sit seems to depend on what level of service you get as well. We sat inside and wasn't offered a drink once, whereas the guests outside had many waiters. We went to the Lebanese restaurant and that seemed alot higher standard in terms of attentiveness of the staff and the food.

The other facilities are fairly good, the slides were great fun and we spent most our afternoons there. The pool was nice and the private beach was also very relaxed and a welcome change from the pools. The evening entertainment was very good though abit repetitive for kids.

Overall the main thing that let this hotel down was the staff. There are definitely some lovely people working there, (the bar staff at the lobby bar, the women running the kids center in the evening and some of the waiters) but most of the staff lack a lot of hospitality skills. Ive never seen so many staff members just chatting on their phone and paying no attention to the customer and whilst i mentioned the slides were great the lifeguards there were a shambles. One girl seemed not too bad but the boy they had working honestly was the most incompetent worker i have ever seen. He was laying on a sun lounger his whole shift. His boss had come by and told him off for not monitoring the slides properly and 10 mins later he was back on his lounger sleeping, with headphones in for well over an hour.

Definitely not a 5 star resort and whilst this hotel has alot of potential it sadly doesn't deliver

This was my first time in Labranda Ephesus Princess hotel and i must say i am highly satisfied with my selection. The resort is spread over a large area and some of the rooms are a little bit distant from the reception and restaurant which i found quite interesting as i like this concept. There are also many rooms in the building where the reception and restaurant are located but for these rooms one must pay a bit extra. Since the resort is located on a small hill therefore you must go down the hill for the beach for this you can either take stairs or a shuttle service which operates after ever half hour.

We were highly impressed by the extremely friendly staff of the hotel specially the service staff working in the restaurant. The hotel also has a very nice entertainment team which organizes very nice programs every evening after dinner.

There is only a minor confusion with the hotel name on the internet since some tour operators mentions it with the name labranda ephesus princess and some mentions it with club hotel ephesus princess, but the both are the name of same hotel.

All in all i would highly recommend this place and would love to go there again.

This hotel has its good points but the bad points outweigh the good points. Rooms are well furnished with comfortable beds. Lovely views from balcony. Hotel looks good. However there are some bad points. Do not have dinner in fish restaurant. We have been waiting for one hour and have not had our dinner yet. Although it is all inclusive you have to pay for alcoholic drinks in a la carte restaurants. Not many staff speak English so difficult to be understood. Only allowed beach towels once a day between 9 and 12. Queueing in buffet restaurants. Poor quality food. Located on mountainside so need to be agile to get about. Nice sandy beach.

Don't stay in the main building as air-con is limited everywhere including reception and lobby bar, better in the villas.
Food in main restaurant incredibly repetitive
A la carte restaurants not up to scratch
Main building needs a serious overhaul and update
Incredibly disappointed as not the kind of hotel we expect for 5 star, barely a 3 star based on experience elsewhere in Turkey

Room Tip: Villas only not in the main hotel building
