My husband and I went to Olive Anatolian on our last night in Istanbul for our first anniversary trip. My husband booked ahead, but when we arrived at 7:45, it was pretty empty so I imagine that if you arrive early enough, you can just show up without a reservation.
My husband ordered the filet mignon and I ordered the Sultan Kebab - my husband's dish was just ok, in my opinion, but he liked it a lot. My dish, however, was the BEST - I HIGHLY recommend the Sultan Kebab. Hummus was ok, but for lunch that day, I just ate the best hummus of my life at Sultanahmet Kebab House (go there for the bread and hummus!).
Anyways, the Sultan Kebab. Pretty much the best dish ever. My husband, who is a foodie and super particular, said it was the best dish of his trip. I loved it as well. And I really have to hand it to Olive Anatolian for their service - it really made the dinner quite lovely (service, and the spectacular view!). Since it was our anniversary, they gave us a complimentary cake and small gift - Murat provided us with great service and really made us feel welcome. The cake was awesome, and the baklava was good as well.
