I knew that 5* hotel in suburb of Istanbul is not the same as 5* in London or Paris. But too much is too much. They confirmed a booking for a group in singe an double rooms. When we arrived they informed us that they are overbooked and offered to put additional beds and to put 4 or 5 people in one room! ?! After rejecting "friendly" offer and after some negotiations they transferred majority of our group in some other hotel - also 5* and much better. I've stayed in Marine Princess to experience other issues - problems with the internet access, half broken shower, safe deposit box not working (and not fixed regardless the promise). Dinner was acceptable, breakfast was very poor. I had much better breakfasts in some other hotels in Turkey with even less stars. Service is poor.

Was here for a conference. My standard room was clean, but basic. The bathroom was unnecessarily huge. I felt that they could have used the space more efficiently. The sea view from the room was fantastic. It took me almost an hour from the international airport. There's not much to do in the neighborhood. The hotel has a work-out place that is open at odd hours. I went there at 6 AM to work out, but it was closed until 10 AM!!! The buffet breakfast was very nice with a wide variety of pastries, fruits, and veggies. Some lunch and dinner meals were good, but the buffet items stayed the same, and it was tiresome after a couple of days.

This is a great value for money place - its got everything one could ask for - hammam, indoor pool, outside pool - the breakfast is good, the staff are very friendly and helpful.if you are adventurous..there are many little local restaurant close by with great traditional turkish dishes and its not too far out of Istanbul to go into the city and see the sights.

I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights for a business trip. From the first step in the hotel, i felt bored & unhappy... The hotel is old and needs immediate renovation. With luck, i was able to have one of the renovated rooms in 6th floor so my room was average. The sea & pool view from the balcony is beautiful. So if somehow you need to stay in this hotel, choose from these rooms. Even the 6th floor was renovated, there was a heavy smell - it was very unpleasant to breathe.
Hotel has 2 outdoor swimming pools, one with 2 waterslides and green water color. I really don't know the reason of that color but i was happy that i wasn't there for holiday & using the pool. Hotel is just at the seaside, so thats positive. But the sea is filled with seaweed - again bad smell. So again, happy i was not there for holiday...
The restaurant was ok, even though there were limited options for main food ( 1 meat - 1 rice - 1 potatoes - 1 vegetable / ok if you are lucky also chicken but no seafood at all). I could be ok with these if they were tastefull. Also order your drink before collecting your food, cause if you order after you sit, your drinks will possibly arrive after you finish eating. And in case if you order beer, mention that you would like it cold (otherwise they can serve in "hot" glasses)...
The conference / meeting rooms... Ok here is the deal, i saw a bat flying in that floor. Apart from being soo animal friendly, i believe the meeting rooms can be considered as historical... So old - ugly carpets, not clean of course, very poor airconditioning that makes you ill. And if you choose not to open airconditioning then you will have to open windows (if you are lucky enough to have a meeting room with windows) then a real high level of traffic noise coming from the road (E5) which the hotel is just nearby...
That was my first time at the hotel and definitely the last... I do not know about the hotels around, so hope you can find a better option.

Room Tip: Sixth floor - seaview
