I went to Aladdin No. 6 on a recent trip to the Spice Market with my husband to buy spices and Turkish delight. We visited the shop in 2014 and were determined to find it again. I'm glad we did. (Note: Walking from the water side (near Hamdi), it's the 3rd or 4th shop on your right.) Borak helped us and was lovely. The turkish delight is creative and very fresh as are the spices. Borak let us try whatever we wanted and was not pushy or aggressive. We bought loads of great spices and Turkish delight as gifts. We spent abut $50 and had great fun. Also Borak vacuumed sealed everything which made traveling with the items easier. It also helps the spices to stay fresher longer. I wouldn't buy spices or turkish delight at any other place in Istanbul. There is a difference. We will be back on our next trip!

We were shopping the spice bazaar and entered Aladdin's. What a great find. We sampled caviar and drank tea with a wonderful gentleman. We bought caviar, spices, saffron, rose oil / water and or course, Turkish delight. The items were vacuum sealed and when we got home 6 weeks later, they were fresh and tasty. Prices are very negotiable.

Simple with all the basics covered in Aladdin Hotel. Good for a back packer. The period in Apr was a peak tourist season for Istanbul. Prices were a little higher across sultanahmet area.

Enjoyed my daily chat with the friendly receptionist every morning before I went out to tour the city.

Breakfast area was right at the top of the building. Dining with seagulls outside the terrace in the morning. It had a nice view of Sultanahmet with the Blue Mosque in the distance.

Location is really the best feature of the hotel. Even I'm tired from all the walking in the area, I could just hop back to the hotel in 5 min, take a half hour nap to freshen up and out I go again.

With the hustle and bustle of the on-goings of the Egyptian Bazaar, or more commonly known as the Spice Bazaar, it was nice to visit a shop that appeared authentically nice. The staff we re exceedingly courteous and helpful allowing us to sample the spices and sweets explaining the history and cooking methods. Look this place up when you're transiting the bazaar.
