The bridge is full of fishermen. You can also buy fresh bread, Turkish ice cream, water and tea on the bridge. Underneath the bridge are several fish and chicken restaurants that are very reasonable for the location.

Lovely restaurants along the way under the bridge to drink Turkish tea and eat fresh caught mackerel for lunch (Balik Elmek)on your way to the Dolmabahçe Palace! You see the fisherman catching your next lunch! Beautiful views on a sunny day.

Crossing the golden horn with two levels
The top span carries tramway, road and pedestrian crossing
It’s also a place where many rod fishermen and women use to hook fish from the sea
At the lower level there are many seafood restaurants where you can dine outside at water level and watch the seaway and ferries
In the Bosporus large ships and tankers transit to the Black Sea

Galata Bridge is a bridge with quite a bit of history, but you will have to do a bit of research for this. An interesting bit is about the Ottomans making a bridge of boats to cross from one side to the other, during their invasion in 1453. Today the bridge is in an area full of nice restaurants and people enjoying a meal, or a walk, or meeting friends, or just enjoying the lovely views across the water.
