Owner description: The old section of Istanbul where you can find many attractions including Topkapi Palace and the Blue Mosque.

We wouldn't stay anywhere else in Istanbul despite hearing stories of other neighbourhoods. Yes, it can be insanely busy but the chance to wander around at night makes up for the day crowds.
Here you can constantly go to the main square to enjoy its various moods while slipping in and out of the Grand Bazaar and for us the much more enjoyable Spice Market area where you will be tempted to eat and buy yourself into a stupor.
