Well run luxury hotel. Great food and charming established/historic feel.

Concierge helpful and always easy to get a cab to get around Istanbul.

Ciragan Palace just next door is also stunning.

My room was cheaper and did not have a view, but it was fine for me. Bed was very comfortable - no trouble sleeping despite jet lag.

Well appointed room, with towels frequently changed and a different Turkish snack left in the room each afternoon.

Room Tip: better to get a view, but given price difference, I was happy on the back of the hotel

This hotel caters to your every desire. The morning buffet boasts every breakfast item hot & cold that is served around the world. The spa is incredible! I can't even begin to describe the mattresses on the beds -- best night(s) of sleep I had in 20 years! The hotel offers high tea in the afternoon if you fancy this. The pool area is breathtaking -- it looks as though it feeds straight in to the Bosphorus River!

Room Tip: I really don't believe there could be a bad room in the place!

a wonderful experience at the Ciragan began at the airport. On arrival we found the Customs Hall overflowing with long lines for visa and passport control. We by oassed all the lines with pre arranged protocol service which was worth every Euro.. The protocol service was as efficient as described and it was a breeze through to collect our baggage. Hotel check in was also very efficient and testimony to the hotels' great teamwork. Our rooms offered all the amenities and views described when we made the reservation. The Studio Suite, with a view of the Bosphorous was ample in size with a small dining table for 4, comfortable sofa and chair, writing desk with several plugs including internet, generous walk in closet, luxe bathroom and small balcony with 2 chairs. We also had an adjoining room which was equally well appointed with desk and plugs, comfortable reading chair and large bathroom. We found the hotel staff truly worked as a great team. Everyone was very polite and professional. We dined in the hotel several times. Breakfast at Laledan was very good and although the selection was wonderful it did not vary much from day to day. Lunch at the Gazebo offered really good options for lunch, snacks and afternoon tea. Dinner at the Bosphrous Grill was a delicious array of cooked to order grilled meats and fish in a tranquil waterside setting. An evening meal at the Sultan's Palace at Tugra was an outstanding presentation of dishes in an opulent setting of the Ciragan Palace. The hotel arranged tours with a private local guide. She was a professional with an easy going demeanor who took time to explain the highlights of Turkish history in simple terms for our family to understand.A great pool area, a wonderful private sunset cruise on the hotel's boat and outstanding service team all added up to a perfect stay! The only word of caution is that the prices are in various currencies - some in Turksih Lira and some in Euros. This can be confusing.

We stayed at the Ciragon Palace in May 2012 - it was exceptional. The staff is accommodating with careful attention paid to their guests. Our room faced the Bosphorus but did not have a small balcony with table and chairs as did most of the other rooms. We did discover that our room was larger than those with balconys. The bed and linens were very comfortable. The furniture was traditional fitting the overall more formal decor. The bathroom featured marbithacaith shower/bath combo - good water pressure. We tried all of the restaurants and liked Laledan for the fish and the Bosphorus Grill for breakfast and a lighter dinner. Tugra is over rated - I would skip it and go out for a Turkish meal. As others have noted the hotel is not near the major sites but cab rides are simple. Avoid rush hour traffic or have a tour pick you up at the hotel. The gym is small and not up to par with most other 5 star hotels but the pool is great.

Stayed 4 nights at the Ciragan Palace with family. We had requested a pick-up from the airport by the hotel so when we arrived, we were taken directly to our rooms avoiding any hassle of checking-in. The food was very nice with the restaurants overlooking the Bosphorous. Most of the sites are easily accessible by taxi (20-30 mins drive). There are also some very decent restaurants at a walking distance if anyone wants to eat outside. Generally the service was first class and the staff was very efficient. The concierge was also extremely helpful with some very nice recommendations. Overall, the stay was fabulous and I would highly recommend the hotel to any traveller to Istanbul.
