Minel Hotel is in a great location, near to Topkapi palace, Haghia Sofia, Grand Bazaar and Bazilika Cistern.

The hotel itself is great value for money. The rooms are small, but clean and modern, in a peaceful side street and staff is there 24 hours a day.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, always offering us a tea when we got back and giving us bottles of water when we needed them and giving us tips and information on how to get around. They even invited us to have dinner with them one evening, when they cooked for themselves.

The staff of the hotel also kindly look after some street cats and kittens that usually sit outside the hotel. They feed them leftovers, but they always seemed hungry and one kitten became very ill. The cats didn't have any water there, so I gave them some and fed the salami everyday, they were very thirsty and hungry. I asked Gonul at the hotel to please make sure they have enough water and food and she promised she will look after them well. So I hope the black kitten that was so ill is healthy and has survived, and that they are all well and happy.

Thank you for looking after the kitties Gonul, we hope to be back again sometime.

I would definitely recommend the hotel!

We had the most amazing stay at this little boutique hotel. The location is practically perfect within shouting distance of the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace and The Grand Bazaar. The best part was the staff! They were warm and friendly and helpful, especially Gonul, Mahmet and Massoud. No question was too much, no request too much trouble. If you are looking for great service at a budget, with a staff who puts you first, this is your place!!!
Just be aware that there is no elevator service, so be prepared to take the stairs, but it is worth it!

Room Tip: Ask for the second floor to reduce the number of steps you need to walk up.

Hoyek is in the middle of everything very close to main attractions. The service is amazing, the people are really nice offering us tea or coffee at every time of the day or night.
The rooms are exactly as shown in the pictures, quite small but this is typicall for istanbul. Heating is working (very important in winter time) and everything is new in the room and bathroom.
One Negative thing, the beds are quite small for european standards the king size double bed is about 150, so maybe it is better to go for 2 single beds
Breakfast is great, the small pasteries are delicious
we really enjoyed our stay and would definiteley recoomend it
I also loved the boutique design style, everything with a little turqois

I booked this hotel through Expedia because it looked simple and clean. I was not disappointed!

The hotel is at very convenient location in sultanahmet near the tram rail and right next to the Gulhane park/Topkapi palace (a must see)! Minutes from the blue mosque or the Aya Sophia and several places to eat around there!

Hotel itself is run by very friendly and helpful staff (e.g. I had to Turkey to US power adapter and they happened to have one they let me borrow). They went out of their way to give me helpful information to navigate Istanbul since it was my first time there. The room itself was kind of small (not sure if this is the norm in the area) but it was clean and had everything I needed.

Breakfast was memorable - they had some items served buffet style and they would cook some other items right there and bring it to your table!!

Definitely recommend it!
