Good location near Blue Mosque. Fuat was helpful, returned emails and arranged arriver to pick us up at airport after long international flight. With no lift & narrow spiral staircase, we requested lower floor. Sinan was helpful and carried bags to 1st floor double room and up steep hill to catch our lift to train station at end of 4 days.. This is budget and in an old city but was clean and comfortable. They brought extra pillows, blanket & towels and replaced bulb in lamp immediately. If you have problems with steep hills you can take a more leisurely down hill road to square with Blue Mosque & Hagia Sophia and Palace other end of square and up the hill. We found fabulous food on streets just beyond Cistern along tramway...you can see buffet and foods in windows. Only drawback was breakfast but with low price of hotel go out for turkish coffee or their great turkish tea and sit in a nice square!

İ am not a capricious person, nor my husband. We always try to find budgeted hotels during our vacations. But this hotel was our worst experience ever. Customer service is very very low. The first day of our visit we asked to clean the room every day,but it was annoying to see only one small towel for two of us every evening so we had to go to reception ask for the big ones every time. My husband had to get even the bath gel himself from downstairs. Telephone and TV in the room was not working, we asked them to repair them and every single day during the week we remind them about this, but nothing has changed. There were very few people in the hotel but in spite of this they even did not serve the normal breakfast, we so eggs, juice etc only once, each time something was missing an their answer was "it is finished". But we the early risers. The smell in the terrace was terrible when you open the window. The Georgian woman in the kitchen had nothing to do with the service, never smiling, always complaining about something, every morning she took her mobile phone, sat on the balcony and was listening to Georgian music which was quite annoying in the morning and the guests had to listen to them too. Then we learned that she cleans the rooms either and it was clear why we had ask for the elementary thing every evening. The hotel destroyed our rest. I advice you not to choose it if you do not want to spoil your nerves.

We stayed there for a night transit in Istanbul. We arrived in the evening. It's a budget hotel, with a reasonable distance to trem stop: Cemberlitas. The way from the trem stop to the hotel is quite challenging. It's steeply downhill and stoney. It's a quite good pivot place to go around the tourist area in the old town.

It's a small hotel, not looking great from outside, but it's fine. The receptionist was helpful. He offered us to lift our luggage because there is no lift in the hotel. He showed us places around the hotel on the map.

We booked a double bed room, was quite cheap. The hotel has free wifi and free breakfast. The room we got was small, has no window, and it had very small space to move around. It had a double bed, TV, dressing table and small cupboard with hangers. Toiletries and towels are provided. The bathroom was also small and had a problem. Water was dripping from the ceiling. I was quite disgusted to imagine what water was dripping because the upstairs must also be a bathroom too. I reported the problem to the staff in the reception, and he gave us a new room upstairs which was much better and bigger.

Our second room was bigger. Large space to move around and bigger bathroom too. It was like a free upgrade for us. The room had window, but it made the room very cold during the winter. There was heater in the room but we did not manage to make it work to warm the room. Luckily we found extra blankets in the cupboard. The wifi is good and the breakfast is fine.

Room Tip: Our room in level 4, facing the street was big.

We stayed here one night because our room at Legend Hotel was not available. If you are just looking for a place to sleep and leave your suitcase while you visit the sites of Istanbul this hotel is just fine. The shower is quite small and the flourescent lighting did not appeal to me, but it was clean enough and suited us fine. It's located down a pretty steep hill so beware.
