We did a tour through the spice bazaar, tasted and learned about spices, and then headed to the lovely apartment on the Asian side to begin cooking, using some of the spices we tasted.

We had a real sense of cooking Turkish cuisines - homemade style food.

Could ask any questions we had about food or about Turkey in general, very informative and relaxed environment.

We also brought an infant along with us which worked out fine.

My friend and I enjoy cooking and loved eating the Turkish food so looking for a cooking class was something we were both keen on. I contracted this company and got a reply quickly. We met Taciser at the Spice market. The spice tour was great and we then caught the ferry to the Asian side. We got to Selins house where the food prep was done and ready for us to cook. We made several dishes for lunch and enjoyed olives and wine as we cooked. We got a recipe book to take home and made wonderful delicious food as well as meeting fabulous people. Taciser was very friendly and interesting to talk to. I would definitely recommend thus tour and if I go back to Istanbul will do some of the walking tours.

Can and Selin were very welcoming. We started with a trip to the spice market and then headed to their home on the Asian side to spend about 3-4 hours cooking a meal and enjoying it. The food was traditional Turkish cuisine and not too complicated. All of the dishes we made are things you could shop for and make on a weeknight at home. It is nice to do a course with such lovely people and walk away with a few new recipes. Could not have been more pleased! I should also mention that I am vegetarian and this was no big deal. My recipe was altered, but I was still included, which was great!!

We visited Istanbul for a weekend in November and this was the highlight of our trip. The food we cooked was absolutely delicious and we really appreciated the high quality instruction and patience with our very poor dolma rolling skills! It was also a real treat to cook in Selin's beautiful kitchen.
Thank you all for a really great experience!

A real food Experience like we have never had. It was so amazing. From the home, the ladies, the kitchen.... everything. We did everything with our hands. They show us step by step. At the end... wine, coffee and great conversation.
Recommend it 100%
