We stayed in a private twin room, which actually had a twin bed and a double bed (a nice surprise). The room was fairly large for hostel accommodations, and the bathroom was a decent size. The shower wasn't partitioned off from the rest of the bathroom (like in a tub with a shower curtain), so the toilet and sink might get wet while you're showering. The location was wonderful - on a street with several other hotels and restaurants. And within a 5 to 10 minute walk of many sites (Ayasofya, Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern). Also near the tram. Biggest complaints were wifi and noise. Wifi was horrible in the room, and only intermittent in the bar/cafe area. Also, our room was along the side street (not the one facing the main entrance) and there was a bakery across the alley. Lots of clanging and yelling starting around 4 AM. We asked reception to say something and they said they would, but nothing really changed. Other than those two issues, it was a good stay, and for the price it was worth it.

Room Tip: Try to avoid rooms on the side with the bakery across the street. Noisy in the early AM

It is a good hostel in the center of Istanbul.I stayed here 2 nights and i had only a bed.It Is cheap if you take a single bed.The room was clean. And the location is very good very close to the church Hagia Sophia.

I didn't really know what to expect when I arrived at this hostel. It was my first time in Turkey, as part of a student exchange program. I didn't have very high hopes for this place, I thought it would be something barely decent, just a roof above my head. Fortunately, i was wrong. To me, this is the place where i first came in contact with Turkish culture. With a nice, traditionally decorated lounge, a great street view and quality music, this hostel truly offers an unique experience. The staff was also amazing, the friendly waiters adding some flavour to the setting. The food surpassed all my expectations, being a fine example of Turkish cuisine. The rooms were clean and in good conditions. Another advantage of this hostel is its position, being close to important landmarks, such as the Blue Mosque and The Hippodrome etc. There are also lots of other shops and pubs around. In the evenings, this place gets more animated, as people come to have a drink and watch the matches displayed on TV.
Personally, I was very happy with this place and had a more than enjoyable stay there. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

My trip for Istanbul was organized by Flight Catcher Pakistan (00923458104700), the trip included 3 nights stay in Istanbul, airfare and then to izmir. Everything including pick and drop, hostel, flights every single thing was beyond amazing, in Istanbul and Izmir both. SO i personally recommend flight catcher and Sultan hostel in Istanbul for short trips. The hostel had very nice breakfast, reception people were very good, the location of the hostel is also very good, it is right next to the Blue Mosque, like five minutes walk.

Was a great place to stay for a few nights. Affordable, clean, very good location near Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque, and the staff were always available. Lockers are provided for peace of mind while you're out and about. A pub kind of feel in the downstairs part so you can unwind with a beer after a long day, and good music. WiFi is slow, which is a bit annoying. Overall I highly recommend and I would definitely stay here again
