When I travel, I definitely make certain to pass by the local market to experience the authenticity of the city and in Bishkek that’s what I did! Like most places in the world these type or markets does sell a lot of affordable items, but the rare finds here are those winter vests and hand made leather boots for winter. Also stopping by where the food, spices and some delicacies are, is always a must! Each stall offers the same types of nuts, dried fruits and delicacies, and all of the sellers are friendly and will make you try each and every item. I personally think that trying these things and visiting these kind of places is always self nurturing and interesting.
Be careful though with gypsies and fake policemen. If any of them come at you, tell them you will call the embassy.

Went there twice, once alone and the other with Kyrgyz friends. It is a great place to buy tasty chocolate biscuit and sweets. My friends recommend me to try some local snacks like kazy, some sort of salty cheese and even edible clay, it was horrible but fun.

There are too many better bazaars in Asia to feel the atmosphere of Asian culture. If it is your first east bazaar go. If not don't lose your time.

Osh bazaar is the attraction, which many tourists want to visit and put on their Kyrgyz bucket-list. It's interesting to see the daily life of local people on the market, as the markets are the important source of income for the families and the main source of all products in the city. It's great to see and taste the fresh bread, fruits and vegetables, dried fruits, kurut and other local products at the main part of the bazaar. Meat section is interesting, but may not be good for all visitors. At the north part of the market "Kyiyal", you can buy all souvenirs for good prices. And you can find there some clothes or other things, which you need for your travel.
Never exchange the money on the bazaar. It's much better and safer to exchange them in the city centre. Keep the copy of your passport with yourself, as the policemen can check you on the bazaar. The market in relatively secure place, but keep the eye on your bags and pockets.

Osh bazaar is a market mainly of Chinese goods imported in containers and these containers act as a shop. Half of it for goods display n upper half for storage. You will get a very thing from carpet to cloths to electric and electronic items household machinations parts tools hygiene products fruits meat etc. Best thing I like was promgranads juice seller fresh juice before your eyes. Very good food shops also serving roasted food. I bought their traditional caps some dry fruits. It was more crowded it being a Sunday.
