Small but good and clean hotel where we felt secure and happy. Nice food, room service team is quick and efficient. The fact that it is not in the centre is not a problem coz lots of tuk tuks and trip really cheap.

Room Tip: Choose room on the first floor with balcony

In one of the nicer residential areas of Phnom Penh surrounded by good bars and restaurants, House Boutique is a real gem. With large rooms and a courtyard swimming pool and bar area, this hotel is perfect for relaxing at the end of a hot tiring day of sightseeing. The staff are so friendly and wiling to engage in conversation. If there is a downside to this hotel it is the limited choice for breakfast: one item off the menu and one hot or cold drink.

Room Tip: I chose a room with a balcony overlooking the pool, but some guests don't like the noise from the pool area.

The House Boutique Hotel is an oasis in a bustling city. There are so many good things about it, however for me the best were the amazingly friendly and helpful staff (all of whom spoke excellent English), the tranquility of the hotel itself and the great food and coffee. The rooms are fairly simple, but very clean and quite spacious.

It also has good quality internet. We were a group of about 20 techies, all making heavy use of the wi-fi and I had no issues

It is a little out of the way however it is only a short tuk tuk or taxi ride to most destinations and a US$13 taxi ride to or from the airport.

It is also a social enterprise. As a budget hotel I really cannot recommend it highly enough.

Arrived in Phnom Penh after a 6 hour journey from Siem Reap, we knew the hotel was a little away from the main tourist sights but we were so glad we made this decision.
We had a room with a balcony facing the pool, beautiful room, very modern and comfortable.
Tired after the journey so we ate at the hotel. We ate from the Khmer menu ordering 2 dishes and tried one of their complementary pickles on the side. Food was delicious.
One of the supervisors at the hotel, Ratanak (apologies if I have spelt this incorrectly) went out of her way to make sure we were enjoying our stay, a genuinely friendly person.

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel, thanks to all the staff for making us feel so welcome.

I stayed on one of the first floor rooms without a balcony. This budget room was fine. The floors were slightly off colored and bathroom dated. The plantation shutters open out to the courtyard, so the sounds from the courtyard do carry to the room. There is no bug screen between the shutters and glass shutters so mosquitos can in. The hotel also did not have water bottles in the room even though the placard in the room says that complimentary water bottles are available on the table. There is also nowhere to hang clothes as there are no hangers or a hanging rack. Hot water is solar heated and although the hotel assured that it needs to heat up for 5-10min (or longer), it never did work. There is construction next to this hotel for those sensitive to construction noise.

The wifi here is excellent! You can stream a video without it buffering and the coverage is good throughout the hotel.

Hotel staff are very friendly and warm. Some of the most pleasant hotel staff I've experienced in Phnom Penh with excellent english skills.

The hotel is located on a quiet street with some restaurants within walking distance. It is a cheap tuk tuk ride to more touristy areas. (you will find tuk tuks outside the hotel easily)

The decor of the hotel is lovely! It is like an oasis in the city. The dining area is right next to the pool and a nice place to sit. There are also lovely lattice walls in the hallway adding to the boutique vibe. The decor in the room matches with the rest of the hotel.
Breakfast is also wonderful. There are a few options on the menu for western and asian breakfasts. The portions are huge and service very speedy. They also serve you a whole pot of tea, if that is your choice of beverage.
