Pop Cafe is one of the oldest Italians in Phnom Penh and for me still the best by far. Great home-style cooking, well priced, small and intimate, delightfully attentive owner in Giorgio who is always good for a recommendation and friendly chat. Staff are cheerful and polite - very good at their jobs. All the dishes I've ever had here are excellent and the daily blackboard menu offers up some delicious regional treats. It's near on impossible to go wrong at Pop Cafe - my only complaint would be the ghastly pee-smelling sidewalk nearby and the permanent building site that has been left to rot nearby - but that's not Giogio's fault. Otherwise this is the perfect place for great Italian food.
