This hotel charged $14 per night, which is slightly above average for Phnom Penh. However this hotel is in a good location - about 30 minutes walk from the main tourist area of the city, but still within walking distance of most of the attractions (though anyone who has been to Phnom Penh will tell you how difficult it is to walk anywhere!!!). The hotel also has a fairly decent restaurant.
My room was advertised as a city view - however I got a view of the walls of taller neighbouring properties, and a building site...
Cleanliness - my room had ants in it. The bedclothes were slightly stained. The shower had almost no water pressure. The fridge looked like it had been fetched out of a skip (but it worked). But this is Cambodia; you can't judge hotels here by western standards.
Staff: friendly enough - all spoke English and they carried my heavy rucksack to my room when I arrived. They will arrange transport & tickets for you to go anywhere.
In summary - I stayed here for 6 nights when I arrived in Cambodia. And I stayed here again for my last night before going home 3 weeks later. So it must have been decent enough!More
