Owner description: The first Legend cinema is now opened in Phnom Penh at City Mall on the top floor. Its located in the heart of the city next to the Olympic stadium.Featuring 3 halls, full digital systems with Dolby 7.1 sound and Dolby 3D. Legend is the first cinema to screen the latest in Hollywood movies. We have friendly staff, freshly popped popcorn and snacks. A great place to go for a family night out.Tickets are USD3 for normal movies and USD5 for 3D. Occasional blockbusters such as The Avengers and The Amazing Spiderman has an extra USD1 charge.

I finally decided to give Legend a try after one year living in pp. I go to movies almost every week. nah, I'm going straight back to Major cinema at AEON. Yes. Legend is $1 cheaper.. but half the facility and comfort. Screen is much smaller than Major and seats are not as comfy at all. The most annoying of all, you get to see the back of the head even if someone is sitting 2 or 3 rows in front of you. This does not happen at Major even if someone sits right in front of you. As described by earlier reviews, yes the cinema was a freezer that tem. control stuck at "freeze you to death" setting. Asked for a blanket as suggested by earlier reviews and were told that they ran out.. of all of 3 people in the cinema I guess I was the unlucky 3rd. The cinema itself is located in the city mall.. another run down mall that has barely anything. The lvl that legend cinema is on is half deserted If Major is 5 stars.. then legend is 3 stars. To be really honest, that $1 or 2 is completely worth it going to major. I'm sure there are people happy with the price range and the facility at Legend. But if you are like me, after an excellent cinematic experience then pay that extra $1 and go to Major.

Relatively cheap movie theatre that comes with good sound system and pvc seats. Starts movie fairly on time. Tickets are usd 5 and drinks and popcorn was around usd7. Pretty affordable watched Star Wars rouge one in 3D and it was pretty cool.

Saw Independence Day Resurgence at City Mall's Legend Cinema last week and was impressed. Yes, there are Khmer subtitles, but the viewing experience was great. No extra charge for the 3D glasses, big, comfy red leather chairs and plenty of air con...so much so that they even hand out free blankets! Definitely returning here.

Need abit of home comforts after a while in the craziness of SE asian cities then this is a relatively cheap thing to do. Bring something warm as the air con is extreme

Prices are only $3-$5 dollars for first run films, nice big screens. But beware that there wasn't proper dolby surround speakers (only two side speakers which stopped 1/2 way into the space so none beside/behind as there should be). Also, their vip seats are just leather recaro versions of standard seats and do not recline as they would in the US. Also, the theater is on the 4th floor of the small/old and 1/2 empty mall, so if you have a choice, I'd go to a different theater which may be in a nicer space.
