We loved this hotel!

From arrival the service was incredibly friendly with a porter helping with bags and talking us through how to use the safety deposit box, air con, Tv etc.

The rooms are really spacious and the beds are comfortable. Not great for views but it is on a central location. However head up to the 7th floor where the restaurant is (for breakfast) and you can see all over the old town and the three rivers. There is a pool side bar with one cold and one warm plunge infinity pool and happy hour.

On the ground floor there is a large cold swimming pool and loungers with one small plunge pool and waterfall feature. Towels are provided FOC.

Large lobby with free newspapers, maps etc and even a ATM. Laundry and convenience shop across the road so everything is nearby.

This is on street 148 so everything is on your door step.

Large range of Asian and western breakfast items on the top floor with a great view.

Free wifi and complimentary water every day with a small mini bar which is a very good price!

We really enjoyed our stay, thank you very muchZ

I stayed at the Ohana recently with my Cambodian family. The room was spacious with good AC and it was very quiet despite it's great location. It's only a few meters from the riverside and near the Kandal market.
The breakfast was very good and the roof top bar and plunge pools a a good feature. I have stayed at many hotels in Phnom Penh and this was the best value that I have ever experienced. The kids loved the pool, the staff were friendly and efficient and the room always clean.

Hotel was nice and was in a good location, quiet street. The rooftop bar and spa were really nice over looking the river and the food was really good at the restaurant. Staff were all very nice and helpful.

it is a very nice hotel, close to the river and all the restaurants along the road there, the palace of course. The room was clean, staff friendly and helpful. Pool downstairs was closed for renovation. Breakfast was good each day.

The rooftop bar is worth a visit

Dear Koivo, many thanks for posting a review, guest feedback is very important for us. I am very pleased to hear that you found our staff to be 'friendly and helpful' and enjoyed you daily buffet breakfast at our roof-top restaurant. Just for info our pool is now open after its renovation, and we apologise for any inconvenience it may have caused you. But at least you were still able to enjoy our 2 roof-top infinity plunge pools!

I also stayed at the Ohana for three nights during a bicycling tour organised by Intrepid (a socially conscious holidaying company.) They seem to like the Ohana, and I can see why. Ohana's location along the riverside esplanade makes it a great starting point for strolls through the bustling chaos that is downtown Phnom Penh. Heaps of restaurants nearby, and it's an easy walk to the confluence of the Mekong/Tonle Sap rivers, markets, palaces...

The desk staff were great to me, even when I arrived jetlagged a day before the rest of the tour. I wanted to make sure I'd be acclimatised before we started riding toward Bankgok. Even though I didn't have a reservation, they slotted me right in and didn't charge me (only $40 U.S., which might be expensive in Cambodian terms but seemed a bargain to me) until the next day when they confirmed that I had indeed arrived before the Intrepid booking was valid. Bugger-all that the big pool was under repair when I was there, but the smaller infinity pools on the rooftop made a fine place to soak and take in the Phnom Penh vista.

This was my first stay at a Southeast Asian hotel, and I was chuffed to find that Ohana's breakfast buffet had so much Asian food in addition to the usual Western items that cater to us outsiders. I now see from staying at other semi-posh hotels in Cambodia and Thailand that savoury foods on the steam table is common. Ohana's offerings were every bit as good as what was served at glitzier places our group stayed at, and they changed what was served every morning. Three days in Ohana, I didn't see a repeat of any Asian dish at brekkie -- good on their kitchen! Heaps of fresh fruit, and Ohana's coffee tasted more like the thicker Vietnamese style than the thin American-style percolator coffee we got everywhere else. Now if only there had been sweetened condensed milk to go with it ;-)...

Room Tip: Rooms on the south side have a good view of the palace

Dear Bukko_Canukko, we are delighted to read your comprehensive review of the Ohana Phnom Penh Palace Hotel, and many thanks for taking the time to write it. It seems you had a very pleasant stay with us, which is what we are always striving to achieve. As for the sweetened condensed milk to go with your coffee, I'm sure our restaurant staff could have found some for you if you had asked ;-)
