Description: Open Monday to Sunday from 11am to 11pm (kitchen closes 10pm) Romdeng is set in a beautiful colonial building whose wooden carvings, tables, chairs and unique lights were all hand made in Cambodia. The silk goods and cushions adorning Romdeng were made by our students in sewing training at Mith Samlanh and its walls are hung with beautiful paintings produced by young people from the art classes there. All of this plus a pool, free WIFI, a family area and a gift shop mean a visit to Romdeng is a must.

We ate twice at Romdeng (we just came back our second and last day in Phnom Penh as we were so delighted and did not investigate to find another option). If you are sufficiently curious, we would highly recommend to start with the tarantulas and the crickets, you will not be disappointed. Try as well their daily recommendations, they give additional variety to a nice menu card. Their spicy dishes are really spicy, be aware that they are cooked to a local taste, we appreciated them a lot! The cocktails are innovative, try the traditional Khmer ones, and their homemade icecream is very good, especially the coconut chili sorbet. The location is beautiful, a colonial villa in a lush tropical garden.

Romdeng resturant in Phnom Penh is a fantastic place to go for a meal. It is not really traditional Cambodian fare. But the food is really good. This is a training resturant for young people in Phnom Penh and service was second to none.
I would really recommend that you go and eat at this resturant.

First time to this NGO restaurant. There are teachers and students that they teach. The food was good but size was rather small. I saw poeple eating spiders. Not for me. The amok was tasty but a bit sweet. But overall an enjoyable dinner outside around the pond.
