great value and helpful hosts

If you get to Nha Trang, stay at the Novotel. Only 5 years old, this is well maintained, has incredibly friendly and helpful staff that make your stay so much better. The rooms are split level, so beware if you have very young kids, but a lovely veranda to watch the sun go down. Safe, lounge area, beautifully comfortable beds, and a sunken bath make it special.
We ate at the restaurant every night, as having a advantage plus card giving 50% discount, it was extremely cheap.
We will be back!!

I like this hotel, having stayed here around 5 years ago. The welcome and service are outstanding. Our standard room this time was of a reasonable size, and had a great sea view. The spacious shower was also excellent - with a free-standing overhead shower with good pressure and seemingly unlimited hot water.

That said, there are signs of wear and tear. The carpet in the downstairs lobby and lounge area is bare in places; the paintwork of our room was a bit smudged (not exactly dirty) in a couple of places; so the overall impression was of a hotel due soon for refurbishment or at least some repainting and perhaps re-carpeting. Despite that, it was very clear that this was a quality operation.

The breakfast is somewhere between good and very good, though not remarkable. I prefer an omelette to be quite thick and a bit runny in the middle (as it should be), and not in the form of a kind of pancake, good though it was. The service, as everywhere in the hotel without exception, was really excellent - from the doormen and parking attendants to the reception, room service and restaurant staff. Really friendly, helpful and efficient. And that means a lot.

The swimming pool on the third floor is not of great interest, as it is very small and mostly in the shade, though the spa is fine - with sauna and steam room. As our return to Ho Chi Minh City on our check-out day was by late train (around 10 p.m.), there was no problem at all in having access to the spa for a shower (towel provided) that evening, which made a big difference to us. The staff couldn't have been more helpful.

Five nights at a very good (special) rate and thoroughly enjoyed.

Room tip: There's not much difference between a standard room and a superior room. All have sea views, good showers and everything you need.

The Novotel is a great hotel to stay at whilst holidaying in Nha Trang!

The hotel itself stands out for the crowd. It is modern, clean and has great views from the balcony. My partner and I booked a standard room but were fortunate enough to be upgraded to a deluxe room on a high level which a stunning beach view. The room is spacious, has a huge bed (two king singles put together) and a sunken shower/bath. The wifi connection was weak however there is an ethernet cable in the room which is great for laptops, but does not help if you have a smartphone or tablet.

The hotel is located directly across the beach (which is great when the weather is sunny), a small walk from all the restaurants and cafes and only a 10 minute taxi away from the cable car to take you to vinpearl island. Despite the weather being miserable whilst we were there, the friendly tour desk at the hotel suggested a couple of day trips for us which made our time in Nha Trang fun and enjoyable!

The breakfast at the hotel was great! It had an egg station, pancakes, large selection of pastries and sweets, cereals, fruits and traditional vietnamese breakfast dishes. The spa was beautiful and worth every dong! My partner and I treated ourselves to some treatments in the spa and were left feeling 'relaxed' and 'rejuvenated'.

Hotel staff were very friendly and we would definitely stay there again! Thank you :)

In fact this was the most expensive hotel we stayed in on our 2-week tour and also the most un-Vietlike hotel - I mean imagine a soft comfortable bed - you could almost be in France (ok so Novotel is French I hear you say).
We had a nice split-level room with balcony - it was spotlessly clean, towels and linen changed daily - impossible to find fault. Unless you went to the restaurant that is - which is expensive (well, €20 a head for the buffet) - fantastic presentation of food, lots of choice, great service but...a total lack of flavour...almost like the chef wasn't French at all but Viet.
No problem - round the corner to a little place at 1/3rd the price with a British chef and food that tastes like it looks.
We organised a city tour through the front desk which was excellent - even though we couldn't understand the guide's English very well it was still great fun and he was thoughtful enough to pack some cold beer in the bus.
Finally the hotel's beach is just across the road and they even escort you back to the hotel though the scooters here are nothing like Saigon.
Finally we had a couple of massages in the spa - not particularly cheap but extremely professional.

We had 3 nights at the Novotel. It is a highrise hotel in a great spot in Nha Trang. They have a private beach with lounges, towels and umbrellas right across the road. The rooms have a sunken shower and the view from the balcony is gorgeous. Breakfast is fantastic with everything you could wish for. We had dinner at the restaurant one night as we were too tired to go out and the food was good quality. It was the perfect place to end our month long holiday in Vietnam, very relaxing.

Had a wonderful time in Novotel. We received a free room upgrade, the view and room we received was beautiful. The room had an ocean view and the bathroom was big & spacious. We had a massage at the hotel spa and that was very relaxing and enjoyable. We would definitely be back when we're next in Nha Trang.
