We arrived at the Hue train station and there was the owner, Nguyen, to pick us up. A really nice friendly guy. Our room was fantastic, huge and I mean huge! It had a balcony with a lovely shady outlook, 2 very large attractive windows and reasonably comfortable beds. Everything worked well in the bathroom. Cost was $US20 a night, breakfast was $2 each. The breakfast was excellent, nice soft eggs.
The Guesthouse is super clean, you could eat off the floors, it was the cleanest place we stayed at in our 3 weeks. Climbing the stairs you look down into the kitchen – unbelievably CLEAN!! It was a pleasure to stay at. We had use of the internet and could always get through.
We did a tour of the citadel, tombs and temples with Nguyen on motorbikes. He and his partner were extremely careful and as pillion riders we always felt really safe. There is a lovely girl called Hue who is very kind and caring and if you need to know anything she will help you out. The Guesthouse is situated down an alley which in itself has a nice appeal. You are close to the river and the markets and there’s a delightful park with interesting sculptures in it.
I would stay here again, the owner is extremely caring and lovely with a great sense of humour and they go out of their way to help you.More
