This was a fab find for us. We arrived late from our flight from UK. Despite the fact the kitchen was officially closed they served us really good pizza and fries! The atmosphere was really friendly with lovely staff - especially Mi - would definitely recommend to all you Brits that like a good old fashioned pub!

I've been going to O'Brien's for about a decade when visiting in HCMC. I used to frequent more often. It's a central pub with a good atmosphere if you're going for a post-work drink. But as a tourist this last time, the stale, dank smell and lack of service made me think I wouldn't bother again. For prices like these you expect decent beers or tap. Since it's Irish and they don't even have Guinness on tap you'd expect in this day and age to have a few other craft beers on tap. Anyway. The food I ordered (fajitas) wasn't great. The portion was huge but it wasn't authentic in flavour (as in not Mexican really at all, just a Vietnamese dish) and very greasy. I'd advise people to stick to the stodge pub favourites like the pie perhaps.

O'Brien's delivers a great social atmosphere with a generous range of beer offerings, all served with a smile.

A very decent musical trio were entertaining us too on our visit, all making for a memorable drop-in, to be repeated.

No dining on this occasion, though would look forward to such.

Thank John M

The wine was bad and the food was appalling. It had obviously been re-heated in parts and somehow they had managed to burn the eggs (I was previously unaware that this was possible?!).

Complained but the slimey horrible manager said that if he deducted any money from the bill then it would be taken from the staff's wages. Incredibly disappointing.

Won't be returning.
