We payed approximately $30/night so we weren't expecting much. However, it was one of the cleanest hotels we stayed at in Vietnam. The rooms are small but you can easily open 2 large luggage on the floor and they also have a bench that accommodates one large luggage. The hotel looks newly renovated so the rooms are very modern.

For the price and quality, the location is amazing. The only negative comment I have about this hotel is that the service is not very friendly.

Skip the breakfast option. The dining area is very nice and clean but the food is mediocre.

We stayed in two rooms at this hotel. Totally perfect; size of room, view, service, etc.. Complete buffet reakfast was terrific (and free). Location is perfect; walking distance to most of what we wanted to see and only a dollar or 2 for taxi to most other locations. Hotel and room were clean and working; i.e. hairdryer, TV, elevator, Free WiFi, A/C and staff was professional and helpful. The coffee in the room was exceptional. Yes, not a 5 star, but great value.

Honestly for the price we were paying we were not expecting a high level of service. The rooms are nice and clean and the breakfast each morning was different and quite tasty so having checked off these basics, I'd say the hotel is pretty good.

If you are looking for better service I'd recommend some other place as they can sometimes be a hit or a miss. The only minor problem we had was having to switch rooms on the first day because the air-conditioning was not working properly.

Location-wise the park across the road, the back-packers area as well as the proximity of Benh-Ten market, the night market, Saigon Square and other attractions mean that you can keep yourself well occupied for a few days.

Our family arranged a pick-up and drop off with Water Buffalo Tours to avoid nasty taxi experiences. They are also great if you want to see a different side of Ho Chih Min. With other tours I feel like cow being herded hurriedly through standard "tourist traps" locals would never visit.

In my recent stay in Asian Ruby 3, I booked the hotel through Agoda.com and have indicated that picked is required from the airport to hotel. There was no details provided by Agoda nor the the hotel. When we arrived at the airport, we took a random taxi service heading towards the hotel. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were told that we will be charged for the taxi service rendered as a taxi was still waiting at the airport, waiting to pick up to the hotel. The hotel staff was able to communicate in simple English. Though total charges (30US$) could not be waived off, the hotel staff offered us to pay 10US$ to compensate the driver's waiting time.

For those who are interested to book your hotel through Agoda, com, do make sure that you contact the administrator if you do not received any email before your plane takes off. You will be liable to pay for service rendered even though you did not took that particular taxi.

Generally, staff are pleasant and welcoming. Was able to suggest a few spots with great local food. It is about 10 mins walking distance to Ben Than Market. Along the street you can find popular brands like Adidas, Mango, etc. It is within 10 mins walking distance to Nortre Dam Church (one of the popular tourist attraction).

More importantly, if you are interested to go for 0.5 day or 1 to 2 days tour, this hotel is highly recommendable as its 5 mins walk to TheSinhTourist (a popular local tour agency which offers tour package a lower rate).

Room: The rooms are clean and equipped with rain shower. 8th floor rooms are equipped with rain shower/bathtub.

Feel free to check with me if you require more info.

Room tip: - Op for higher level floor to stay away from the loud horn from the traffic

On arrival in Ho Chi Minh city we got dropped off at the bus station, then not knowing where our hotel was we caught a taxi. He drove us around in circles and then ended up dropping us off across the street from where our bus had let us off, all for $15!!!! So, if you're getting the Mekong express from another city, don't make the same mistake we did and just find a map and WALK to the hotel!!!

Okay, now for the hotel. I wouldn't recommend staying here. Almost every other hotel we stayed in in Vietnam the staff were friendly and helpful from the moment we checked in, and here we felt they were rude and unaccommodating. We were placed in a room on a high floor where the AIR CONDITIONER didn't work (and it was extremely hot), so after a while, realizing that it wasn't just that we couldn't work it, we asked to be moved. Eventually we were given a different room which was apparently a 'better' room than the one we had originally paid for. We spent the night there, then were informed that if we wanted to stay there we had to pay extra, or we could move rooms again. This was very inconvenient for us as we were not only travelling, but moving from country A to country B and had A LOT of stuff with us. We ended up moving, but we weren't thrilled about it. Overall, I think if the room they give you is faulty, and they don't have the same room type available they should just give you the room that they have for the duration of your stay - fail on their part here.

As for the hotel, it felt dingy and small, and the breakfast was bad. People were rude, and I think you'd be better off to spend your money somewhere else. The only good thing was the location, which was right across from the main tourist strip.
