This hotel was booked for us for 3 separate nights as part of a packaged tour, and when we read the reviews on TripAdvisor we elected not to upgrade this hotel option. This was a great choice as the HM Boutique hotel offered everything we look for when traveling: super-clean hotel (rooms, bathrooms, common areas--even the little restroom tucked behind check-in) with comfortable mattress and bedding, great hot shower, satisfying breakfast (both Western and Vietnamese options available--the fish was so amazing!) and kind, helpful staff. Like most hotels in this part of Hanoi, it is a narrow building tucked between two other buildings, so the two different rooms we had did not have any views, but the top-floor restaurant has great views of the lake. The rooms keep out noises from inside the hotel (we were located next to the elevator and could not here it), but you can here street noise from even the upper floors and from 6am-10pm it is pretty steady, although did not at all keep us from falling asleep, and you can hear roosters crowing in the early morning as well. The "spa" is just a large quiet room located on the same floor as the restaurant, but it is attractive with dark wood and has two massage tables that can be separated by a curtain. We asked for 60 minute massages at the front desk and had less than a 10 minute wait for our hour of bliss. It was a great way to recover from our 22 hours of travel! There was always someone at the front desk to answer questions, and Henry has amazing energy and enthusiasm--he even came in on his day off to wish us farewell and safe travels. There is a staffed desk to set up tours, but there was no pressure at all by the staff to sell, and appeared to be for guest convenience.

Just finishing touring Vietnam and in total stayed at HM Boutique 3 times while moving from one place to another. Fantastic location and very friendly staff. We traveled with someone who was on crutches and the staff could not help us enough they were wonderful. Henry you should be proud of yourself and your staff for the great service. I will thoroughly recommend contacting Henry and staying at HM Boutique Hanoi.

We got a room on the first floor which was above the reception area so there was no view as such or any window in the room. But the room was very nice and large with plenty of space. Room and bathroom were very neat and clean and well maintained. The hotel is located in the main market area and is very close to the Hoan Kiem Lake. There are plenty of options for shopping and eating nearby. The staff is pleasant and helpful. The breakfast buffet was good and the view from the restaurant was very nice where you could see the lake from a distance.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The staff showed us where to eat and what was on that night and answered so many questions. The room was lovely, worth every cent! We would choose this hotel again in a heart beat. The breakfast was nice. nothing to rave about but not bad either.

Room tip: Suite is amazing

This hotel is 0 star,
Not only the elevator stop because they were making maintenance on it and we were at the 6 floor!
The room are not soundproof so sleeping in the street would have been the same!
If you want to go anyway reserve only 1 night!,,,,

Room tip: .??? No one
