We had the unfortunate displeasure in eating at this sh1thole! I understand from other reviews this is possibly a copycat restaurant, as it doesn’t have its own entry I need to post this here to help warn others from making the same mistake!!
Firstly you are only given the expensive grill menu where each person is charged 200,000 VND!!
The manager looking type was intimidatingly stood by us, rushing us to order as soon as we arrived! When we did order the fish grill he insisted by bizarrely banging on the table that we ordered the fish cakes as well, a picture us shown of several on a plate-assuming it is a ‘dish’ but in small print each individual fish cake is 30,000 VND!! We got served 12 for 2 adults!! And were never asked how many we wanted!
When we asked later about other cheaper dishes on the menu, we were told by one waiter it was only grill available!!
We asked another waiter, and we were ‘allowed’ to order Chicken Pho, but the price on the wall is advertised at 40,000 VND but in the menu is 60,000 VND.
The worse was yet to come, the fish cakes were off! and we couldn’t eat it!
We complained about it at the end of the meal but they weren’t interested and insisted we should still pay for that part of the meal!! An argument ensued but they couldn’t care less!
During our meal a cockroach ran across our table which really summed up what this place was all about!
If this helps at least one diner avoid this nightmare then it’s job done!

If you happen to see the big banners saying 14 cha ca la vong, FREE BEER, with loud dance music from a speaker by the road, DO NOT ENTER.

It was too late by the time I saw the countless reviews about customers getting ripped off, the amount they charged could've lasted me for at least 10 meals. Food was by far the worst I had on this trip, and I had to end my day with this terrible experience. Oh and the free beer was a gimmick too. Total rip off.

P. S. I created a tripadvisor account just for this, that should tell you how bad the whole thing was.

They only do one dish, and u cook it yourself, it's pretty tasty( if u like fish noodles and veg), not overly expensive (if u don't drink too many beers) but you are just paying for the novelty however it is a good novelty

Little hole in the wall. We where brought here by our Thai friends. The menu only has one thing (fish), so you just sit and they will bring you your food. The food was really good, worth trying it.

Terrible (when u go to the wrong restaurant). Be very cautious to go to the right restaurant, which is on the even numbered side of road. When you enter street, there's a restaurant with big signage (& lights) saying no 14, cha ca la vong. This is the WRONG restaurant. Original is on other side of road with unassuming wooden doors/entrance. Rip off prices at the fake restaurant and food isn't even nice. Original restaurant should take action for having their name and reputation "stolen". Many innocent tourists like myself probably fell into same trap and found out the truth too late to back out.
