Had the "street vendor"'combo that included a massage and a facial. Excellent massage with hot stones, Heong was the name of the masseuse and she was very, very good. The facial was nice but nothing extraordinary. Overall a very good experience, paid about 40USD which I think is a bit overpriced as compared to what you get in Bangkok but will definitely recommend.

On arrival not only was I informed that I had a 20% discount due to the fact I was staying in the hotel, I was given a tea and sweat treat whilst I chose the massage I wanted. The receptionist was very friendly, helpful and welcoming.
I chose the Mother Earth massage (for one hour), which I highly recommend! I had been a little concerned that I did not have to fill out a form as I have done for other massages I have had, but I told the masseuse about my knee injury and she listened and changed the massage in that area to avoid further damage.
It was a wonderful massage, that was done with the pressure I had asked for and the hot stones were bliss (never tried before). On completion I was given more tea with fruit, and looking at the time realised that I had actually had more than the hour, a lovely change from the norm of clock watching!
I highly recommend this service at the Essencia Spa (located in Essence hotel).

We booked an arrangement in the morning, after arriving by train in Hanoi.
We asked if we could take a shower before the massage.
People were so professional, so friendly and the massage was really good.
We had a shoulder/head and foot massage, but got more then we expected!
