Elegant Suites proved the ideal place for us to stay on our first visit to Hanoi, the location is great, the staff outstanding and the rooms spacious and well equipped

We booked a self contained apartment and it was a perfect base for our and it provided the benefits of a nice hotel with the convenience of a full kitchen and a washer/dryer.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the restaurant decent and reasonably priced for when we didn't feel like wandering out onto the street to eat at one of the great local food places so conveniently located at our doorstep. There is also a supermarket and other handy shops within walking distance and several local stores down the road,

For a good value stay in a clean and well appointed hotel I strongly recommend Elegant Suites.

Room tip: The views from the apartments on the upper levels are spectacular!

What a great week in Hanoi. Wonderful place with amazingly attentive staff.

Daily servicing of rooms
Wonderful room service and buffet breakfast
Hygienic and clean pool, steam room and sauna.
The room was enormous and the bed was a cloud.
Great views of the lake and nice wide balconies to enjoy a drink on

Fantastic location in Westlake.

Beautiful hotel, finely furnished and equipped.

Serviced apartment is huge will all of the mod-cons. Essentially a home away from home. Great wifi as well!

Gym is outstanding. Brand new and in great condition, and heaps of equipment. Although has so far been empty when I've used. Likewise the sauna, steam room and plunge pool are equally great.

Staff have gone out of their way to accommodate us and have given us heaps of great tips for our visit.

The best place to stay away from the rush and busy city of Hanoi is West Lake. We stayed in Elegance Suites for 5 nights, paid a bit more then usual but was worth every cent. Ate 2 nights in their restaurant where the only people there where us but the food was excellent and the wine, price was good too. Within walking distance are bars and restaurants. Great to see lots of NZ, Aussie ans South African people living there and using the local bars etc. We had a lot of fun in this area for fun, party, food. End of our journey traveling for a month from the South to the North of Vietnam.

Room tip: Anything above 4th floor facing swimming pool is great

I spent 1 month at Elegant Suites, and on the whole found it enjoyable, but some details drag it down. The price is reasonable compared to other options like Fraser Suites, but you also get what you pay for. I spent 1 month there with my wife and 5 year old son. On the positive side, staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating, the pool is massive, and the views are very nice from almost all rooms it seems. On the negatives, it was small details - we had a few problems with the plumbing, the shower was in a bath and very uncomfortable, and the air conditioning blew onto the bed, and so it was difficult to get the temperature right on nights. The breakfast buffet was nice but also quickly tired on you as there was limited variance and after a few weeks it was getting very repetitive. I'd recommend this place up to 2 weeks and no more.
