We dined twice and had an excellent culinary experience across fish, beef, pork and chicken dishes. All servings are well-priced and the bento box is a great package. Very delicious.

In the lobby of the Somerset Westlake, is this wonderful little gem. Unpretentious and super affordable and the cuisine is Japanese. We enjoyed 2 lovely Bento boxes for under $7 and left full. The service is great and unobtrusive.

They are located inside Somerset Westlake.

Visited on Saturday a bit too late (9.30pm), restaurant was almost empty. Good udon and bento box, prices really good.

We stayed at the hotel a few nights and dine there many times. Price is good and food tasty and plentiful.
It looks very casual, so don't expect high end service/ambience, but it does the job if you are staying nearby.

Acceptable Japanese eatery more a cafe than a restaurant. On the second floor above a clothes store in a dark Alley. Found it only because we went looking for it with the aid of Google Maps and a bit of intuition. It really is hidden away.

Food is just ok, but very inexpensive hence, looked like a student haunt. A welcome relief from a surfeit of bun cha in the middle of the old city but not good enough so's you'd go out of the way to eat there. Service was the same - one poor girl trying to cope with the dining room upstairs and kitchen downstairs.

We ate there as It was near our hotel which had pretty ghastly food
