CENTRALLY LOCATED WALKING DISTANCE TO EATERIES

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 5 Dec 2022
Stayed two nights the shower and toilet water both leaked considerable and I informed reception accordingly who didnt seem to phased by the incident. Breakfast catered more to the Asian cuisine than western but am able to get an omelet and toast. Toiletries supplied toothbrush, razor, soap there is also a fridge and kettle for hot water if you drink tea bring your own as a nation of coffee drinkers. A bank just over the road. The adapter seemed to pull the plug from the wall so did not charge correctly .A plus is that air con worked

Stayed here for 2 nights.
Buffet breaky was good. Wait staff were lovely and accommodating. Bathroom was not very practical and did have a mould situation happening. Didn’t like the fact the power / AC turned off when you left the room

This hotel is very nice and the staff is great. Mandy was an excellent receptionist and took the extra time to be friendly. The facilities are also nice and the cheap food is a big bonus. I think I will return in the future.

The location was great, approx 35,000 dong (just over $2aud) to catch a cab to the city centre. Always check with your cab driver to give you a fare estimate. We have a driver try to charge us 440,000 dong for a 30,000 dong fare. The hotel is located opposite a bank who gave a good exchange rate. There are coffee places down the road, we had some awesome street food next door to the hotel, bun cha, only 30,000 each,, pork, pork rissoles in a sweet/sour/fish sauce mix ( i drank what sauce i had left, it was that good), herbs and a plate of vermicelli. You can smell the pork cooking, if locals eat there, then i ate there. My daughter and i had two meals there, yum yum yum.
Now back to the hotel, the staff are lovely, friendly and try to help you as much as they can with limited english. The rooms were nice, working fridge, aircon good.
Breakfast was very lovely, make your own bahn mi rolls, the rolls are beautiful and fresh, fresh juice, coffee and tea. Different hot foods in the morning. they have pho as well. fried eggs are available.
I ordered pork rolls and crab rolls(like spring rolls) from the restaurant for dinner, it was delivered to my room. Although the rolls are smallish, they tasted really great, especially the crab rolls.
The hotel provides maps with locations to sight seeing places on it. Very helpful.
There are also a few little food marts up the road and around the corner. All prices very reasonable, also bought some nice ice cream, strawberry cheesecake.
I would stay at this hotel again if i was lucky enough to get back to Vietnam

Not a bad hotel but it is old, not great facilities, breakfast is OK, staff friendly & the area has a number of anenities close by - bank, secure ATM, restaurants, bars mnimarts & you can walk to the Old Quarter, Night markets & stuff.

The entry is plain on a narrow suburban street and the ground floor houses the dining room. There is a single lift & a staircase with the 1st floor having a small business centre.

The rooms are ok but older - not a great finish, our safe didn't work but we had good wifi, airconditioning, a small fridge.

The rooftop promised a bar each afternoon but it is very unattractive, wasn't open whilst we were there & just seemed a smokers area.

We walked to the nighmarket a couple of times, walked to dinner in the old Quarter as well as eating at 5 Spices close by & walked to the lake & temples.

For us it worked - for somepeople it would be too old & too far out of the 'city'.

I note some reference to a pool - not that I found!

Although the hotel is called 'city centre', it is about half an hour walking to the water puppet theatre, the lake and the main attractions. In hot and humid temperatures, this can be quite tiring. Rooms were big and clean. Good wifi. Breakfast only has limited choice.
