“Excellent Staff - Great Value”
Reviewed 25 September 2013

Stayed here on the recommendation of other reviewers. Great choice. The staff really do make this place and couldn't be more upbeat and helpful. We booked tours through the hotel to Halong Bay (3 d 2N) and Sapa (4n 3d) which were great. We did shop around though and so should you. Got the laundry done and it came back dry and clean quickly. Stayed in the hotel a total of four nights. Rooms are clean and great value. The beds are hard, but this is a criticism all over S/E Asia, not just this hotel. Excellent location in the Old Quarter, they'll give you a map and steer you towards decent eateries and tourist sites. They also organise your transfers from airport/train stations (you pay for them) which makes traveling easier. You can dump your luggage here while you go off to Halong Bay/Sapa and they'll supply you with a shower/bathroom prior to your next excursion. All I. All, the staff here really try to help you in every way and make your traveling easier. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Rooms at front of hotel are noisier.

I stayed in Tu Linh Palace Hotel 2, as well as in Tu Linh Palace, in total 6 nights.
It's not so easy to find an hotel in Hanoi, due to the huge amount of reviews. When i was looking for one i simply couldn't decide. I was looking for a central nice location, nice rooms, friendly and helpful staff, excellent balance price quality. I stumbled upon this hotel, the number 2 in particular, nicely located on one of the main roads in the old quarter. What a great choice!

Staff is very friendly, smiling, helpful, giving u high five and waking u up with their sunny moods in the morning. Suggestions, tips, laundry, excellent room! i booked room number 102 and it's massive, fell in love with it, got it for also an amazing price (if u stay there longer and its not full high season) u can bargain a bit the price. they arranged the transport to the airport as well.

My suggestion: get a taxi from wherever u are in Hanoi, come here and check out the rooms. bargain the price, see if they have space, if not they will offer you the possibility to go to Tu Linh Palace, which is close by, they will drive you or pay for the taxi. That is also a great choice!

You won't be disappointed! Give it a shot! If you don't like you are still in a central location and a number of other small similar hotels are here spread through the small streets (i checked out at least 10, including Hanoi Guest House, which is very well ranked on Tripadvisors, and room 102 at Tu Linh Palace 2 was for me way better, payed 8 dollars less than Hanoi Guest House).

Wish u good luck and good trip

Room Tip: Go for 102 ;)

Of first plan was book only for one night, but after feel the hospitality of the staff we decide sleep 4 nights! The rooms are cleanings and with good size, I have problems in my back but the mattres was perfect for me! When we come back early from SA PA they let us made the check-in at about 7 if we couldn't to pay early checking!
The staff help you in any you need, and you can book the excursions in the reception with a very good price
The breakfast is very good, also the coffee!
I recommend this hotel without doubt!!

The location is amazing, the rooms are perfect for the price...but the best part is the staff. No matter what we needed: fresh juice, tips on where to find the best street food, spa recommendations, a friendly chat, transportation options, the staff was there to help us. We stayed 5 nights and would consider Tu Linh Palace Hotel 2, our home in Vietnam.

We stayed at the Tulinh Palace 2 hotel for 2 nights during our stay in Hanoi. In the meantime we also went to Halong Bay and Sapa which we had arranged at the hotel. Both trips were very nice! During the trips we could leave our bags at the hotel and have a shower and breakfast afterwards.
