Description: SPECIAL: To celebrate the coming festive season, on 24-25 Dec and 31 Dec - 1 Jan 2017, we are going to serve the Special Set menus only. We shall send you a copy of the set menus by email per reservation request. Please kindly send your request to our official email address on this website. The Gourmet Corner restaurant located on the top floor of Hanoi La Siesta Diamond hotel, which boast the finest view of Hanoi from the 12th floor, overlooking Hoan Kiem Lake, the Red River and the ever-growing skyline of Hanoi. The Gourmet Corner food menu is the combination of Vietnamese and some Western favorites. Our Vietnamese food options mostly are the dishes from the North. In northern Vietnam, a colder climate limits the production and availability of spices. As a result, the foods are often less spicy than those in other regions, especially the middle part of Vietnam. Black pepper is used in place of chili as the most popular ingredient to produce spicy flavors. Also, coriander is used commonly in most dishes. In general, northern Vietnamese cuisine is not bold in any particular taste - sweet, salty, spicy, bitter, or sour. Most northern Vietnamese foods feature light and balanced flavors that result from subtle combinations of many different flavoring ingredients. PS: Please be informed that your reservation request by email will be answered within 24 working hours or later depend on our work-load at that moment. Any urgent booking request should be made through the phone call. We are sorry for any inconvenience may cause.

We decided to have dinner for our 35th Wedding Anniversary as we were staying at the hotel. What a gem. The food and atmosphere was wonderful and great value. I had the fish cooked in banana leaf with sticky rice and it was perfectly cooked and presented. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and attentive and the food arrived in good time. Our Waiter was Drake and he did a fine job. They know how to mix cocktails well also. The atmosphere is very cosy and quiet. They went to extra trouble for our anniversary and suprised us with a 'Tower of Love' Cake. We felt very special.
Thank you Tony, Chef and all the staff.

Dear Anne G,

Thank you so much for giving us chance to help celebrating your 35th anniversary at the Gourmet Corner restaurant.

I feel blissful to read that you found the food perfectly cooked and the service equally amazing. That means a lot to our team because together we always strike our best to make the guests feel special.

The 'Tower of Love' cake is the great symbol which conveys the meaning of the celebration that we feel so lucky and honor to play a minor part in it.

Again we wish you all the best and look forward to many more chances to welcome you back.

Regards,
Andy

We came to this place very late in the evening. It is in the 12th floor of a hotel and has nice decor. We took mainly the sets and every course was great. The staff was very friendly. It was the best food we had in our two weeks in Vietnam.

We ate here one night after an exhausting day of exploring and what a little gem it is. This is a really top class little restaurant in Hanoi. Very attentive staff, clean, cool, an attractive and comfortable setting make this an ideal choice. We enjoyed it so much, we ate there again the next night!

We had the pleasure of an impromptu visit after a long day of travel.

Fantastic view, great food, and very warm and helpful service. And this after we strode in late evening without a reservation.

The presentation of the food was beautiful. We would recommend the green mango and shrimp salad and crispy rolls to start. Then we tried the Cha Ca which is a traditional dish and you roll your own "food parcels". The beef speciality is cooked in a traditional hot pot.

Would highly recommend!
