We spent 2 nights on board the Paradise Luxury as part of our honeymoon and it was wonderful. Emily and the team do an excellent job and are highly professional.

The boat itself is lovely. Quite small and intimate, but with a luxurious interior. The rooms are small as to be expected, but are comfortable and finished to a very high quality. They provide toiletries and towels and the room has a safe and decent storage.

The food is a highlight. All of the food included in the cruise was exceptional. We particularly enjoyed the dinners of a luxurious Vietnamese banquet and a bbq.

The planned excursions were very good and we particularly enjoyed the kayaking and boat trip to the floating village.

The boat also has activities to enjoy on board including morning thai chi sessions, cooking demonstrations, night squid fishing, cinema nights and spa treatments. There are also good BOGOF happy hours on board. They offer an all-inclusive drinks package as an add-on however we worked out that it suited us better to pay for each drink. Taking advantage of the happy hours and considering we were out and about alot on day trips we found this was better value.

Halong Bay is a beautiful sight and definitely worth a visit - 2 nights on the bay on the boat was very special.

The weather is varied in terms of sun. Visiting towards the end of March, the weather was nice and hot (around 26 degrees) and mostly overcast. There were beautiful patches of sun during our 3 days cruising the bay.

Thank you so much for helping making our honeymoon memorable (particularly the effort made to provide a rose petal turndown one night along with a beautiful celebration cake, which was a lovely surprise).

We highly recommend this cruise!

Thank Lauren A

My partner and I did this cruise and absolutely loved it. The staff (esp. the cruise manager Mr Lee and Anna) were exceptional in their dedication to making us feel looked after. The food was also brilliant and worth the price. The only let down was that we had to head into the harbour as there was a rain storm approaching on the last night. The company treated this as if was the same as if the cruise had gone ahead uninterrupted (except we would be staying in the harbour, rather than in the beautiful bay) which was a bit frustrating. We opted to head back to Hanoi instead of staying on the boat on the harbour. The cruise manager was great in sorting this out, but it certainly felt that the company itself wasn’t very supportive of us getting back to Hanoi (we were bounced back between the sales desk and the travel agent - despite the fact I had booked it through the paradise website) or actually of the staff on the boat (who had to deal with a lot of different customers with very little information). We’re hoping to get a refund for the last night; but given the confusion on the boat we’ll have to see.

All in all though, if there isn’t a rainstorm I can’t recommend the trip enough.

I had dreamed of visiting Halong Bay in Vietnam for 45 years...when I arrived with my wife, I was not disappointed in my hopes for the experience. Halong Bay was all I had hoped for: outstanding beauty, incredible seascapes and sheer tranquility. But that was not all; the experience aboard the Paradise Cruiser was an integral part of the overall experience. The boat is of the highest standard of comfort...luxury rooms, finest cuisine in fine surroundings, great entertainment and guaranteed scenery. There are many activities laid on for those who want a tactile experience on the bay ranging from Kayaking to cooking classes, cave exploration and Island hopping. None are compulsory...you can do what I did...grab a glass of wine and watch the bay unwind before you, then sit out on the deck or on your balcony and watch the sun go down. Ronald Cinco is the Boat's manager and he works tirelessly to ensure every passenger receives a memorable and quality experience. Paradise Cruises offers the highest standard of quality and experience. I recommend them to you.

Was unexpectedly upgraded onto the Paradise Peak from our original boat of the Paradise Luxury. Pleasantly surprised as the boat only had a total of 20 people on board. Our host Belle was amazing with explaining to us all of our options both for food and activities.

I think one night is enough for most people as you will get a good sense of Ha Long Bay and what it has to offer. It's quite a distance from the Old Quarter, so prepare for a 3 hours car ride to and from the port. If you choose transportation provided by Paradise, you will have lunch on your return date prior to taking the Van back to your final destination, which is an added bonus.

Also, be sure to catch the sunrise as it is really the only time that the Bay is quiet before everyone gets up and boats start to move again.
