I didn’t like Pattaya, but I did like the InterContinental Resort. Fortunately the resort was located away from everything, so it was sort of an oasis amidst the jungle.
The resort only has a small man-made beach, but there were several pools to enjoy. There’s also 3 onsite restaurants, and our rate included the breakfast buffet — which was quite good.
Our room was large and comfortable, and included a nice outdoor patio. We spent our mornings on the beach, and the afternoons on the patio.
We also used the Resort gym, and it was of a medium size, clean, and full of equipment.
I’m not sure I’d ever return to Pattaya, but if I did, I’d certainly stay at the InterContinental.

Too many steps , structure is horrible.
This hotel initially seemed very beautiful, but contrary to our satisfaction upon arrival, we noticed numerous shortcomings over the next few days.
If you are a big fan of stairs, this is the hotel for you!
It seems they forcefully turned a steep area into a hotel, which is why there are thousands of stairs.
Upon arrival, we were given only one room early, and the other room was handed over at 5 PM, The hotel management claimed that because they gave one room early, they compensated by giving the other room late.
What do the two rooms have to do with each other? If you understand the logic behind this, please let us know, as we certainly didn’t.
The breakfast is minimal, at the level of a 3-star hotel, with very limited food options, most of which are non-European and entirely Asian cuisine.
I requested that, just as they handed over the room late, they also allow late check-out.
However, when I contacted the hotel management, they responded that since they had given the other room early, they didn’t consider this room late, which is completely illogical. Ultimately, the hotel management hung up on me without providing any justification.
I don’t need any nice answer under my comment from hotel management because if you want be nice you should be nice in act.
Overall, there are much better hotels in this area and in the vicinity of this hotel that I recommend choosing instead. I absolutely do not recommend this hotel.

Our resort is uniquely built on a hillside to offer stunning ocean views, which does result in multiple stairways. For guests who prefer to minimize stairs, we do provide buggy services throughout the property for added convenience.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the room allocation process. While we always strive to provide the room ready as per standard check in time and we do our best to accommodate all the rooms as promised, we regret this was not handed to you properly and not communicated more clearly by our management.
Regarding breakfast, our aim is to offer a diverse selection that caters to our international guests. We appreciate your feedback and will certainly review our offerings to ensure a more balanced selection.

Intercontinental Pattaya has been on my bucket list for several years. This property and team did not disappoint and I'm already looking forward to booking a return trip. Only 2 hour drive from Bangkok Airport, this is a property you can sit back, relax and enjoy what they offer.
From check-in to check-out, this hotel delivered a fabulous experience. Everything is a highlight; the rooms, the food (Infiniti) and the team. What really makes this property unique is the club team. One of the most attentive teams and food options I've had in an IC Club Lounge in the past 12 months.
