The Sira hotel is only small and the staff are very friendly and it is great value for money. We paid $A44 per night including breakfast. We had a great room at the front on the second floor. Free WiFi and great television. Only a short songthow ride to the night market. Breakfast is great as well.

This place was super cute and it felt like we were the only ones there. The room and the hotel were great looking (the pillows were a bit hard). The day staff was great, the night staff was a little lazy. It is in a nice location.

I will admit that it was a bit too expensive for what it was, but the rooms were clean, had A/C, a great shower, spacious, good location. After a week of staying at budget places, this place was a nice change. If they included breakfast it would have felt more reasonable.

Overpriced packpackers. I'll let the view from our window tell the story. This hadn't been cleaned in years

I stayed here for 5 days. For $50US a night, it was decent, but I have to believe there are better values in Chiang Mai. This hotel is one small step up from "no frills". The lobby and outside area have some decent decorations, but the rooms themselves are very utilitarian. Our bathroom sink made a continuous gurgling sound. I had to stuff the sink with bathroom towels to mute the sound. The bed was very hard - this is common in Thailand. For $50 a night in Chiang Mai I think you can do a little better but I found this hotel acceptable. The hotel is on a busy street (which makes sitting outside in their "courtyard" unpleasant) on the opposite side of downtown as the river. So you are in the city, but expect to walk awhile or take transportation to go anywhere. We usually took a tuk-tuk out and then walked back - maybe 20-30 minutes walk from the river area. Overall, not the worst experience but I would try somewhere else if I went back.
