The Yaang Come Village is a beautiful resort that is modeled after a hilltribe village, but with all the amenities of a modern hotel. My friends and I stayed there for three nights and found this to be our favorite hotel of our trip to Thailand. Upon arrival, we were greeted by our gracious hosts with cool towels and coconut milk. We stayed in one of the villas, which was spacious and authentically decorated. Although there were many mosquitos on the grounds at dusk, I think that is typical for Chiang Mai and we were provided with mosquito zappers. We didn't use the tour services offered through the hotel, but I checked the prices and it was similar to what we paid with our tour guide. The hotel had free wifi and free computers at the front. The breakfast had a nice selection. We didn't use the pool, but it looked beautiful. The cleaning staff was great. One day we left wet clothing in the bathroom to dry. When we came back at the end of the day, we saw that they had placed it on a stand up drying rack on the balcony. The hotel was also well located for our needs. It is a very short walk to the night market.

It was very nice that the hotel allowed us to store our luggage since our flight was not till later. It would have been nice if the luggage room would have been locked, but someone was always standing guard by the luggage area and they placed our valuables in their safe.

In one instance they went above and beyond. In planning for the next leg of our trip, they contacted our hotel for us as well as several tour companies and helped us book a tour in our next destination.

For the service we received, the cost of the hotel is an incredible bargain (we paid approximately $80 per night). I can't imagine choosing any other hotel to stay at in Chiang Mai.

We travelled as a family & chose this hotel based on trip advisor reviews & we were not disappointed, it was everything we were looking for. The rooms were very nice & spacious, we had asked for a bed for our daughter & there was more than enough room for all of us. The only thing missing was a bath but not a major issue.

The thing that makes this hotel I would say is the staff, the service is so warm & welcoming & they cannot do enough for you. The hotel arranged all of our trips, cookery courses, meals out etc & were just lovely.

The pool was very nice & the location is excellent for the night market, it is literally just around the corner from the hotel.

Also we used the baby sitting service which I have never used before when on holiday but I felt very comfortable doing it here as everyone was so nice. It was lovely to go out for one night of our honeymoon alone.

I would highly recommend this hotel.

Very nice grounds and nice authentic style rooms. Decent location in Chiang Mai, its not located in the old city but one block away from the night market. Breakfast is good. Right next door is an excellent indoor/outdoor indian restaurant.

Everything that you would expect from something called a "boutique hotel". It's very close to the night market which is pretty much where you want to be. So many places to eat within walking distance. Also, if you want to take a tuk-tuk to anywhere else within Chiang Mai, it's really easy to do since the drivers like to stalk most of the hotels. This hotel was very beautifully decorated and seemed very secluded even though it was IN the city. The staff was helpful and friendly but I wouldn't suggest booking through agoda.com if you've got young children. It didn't seem to work properly. Another negative is the hot water availability due to the "on call" system they had.

Room tip: If you have a family, try and get one of the family rooms. They didn't have any available during our stay but that wasn't a problem since they just rolled in a bed for our 7 year old and our 4 year old slept with us. 1000 THB per night for the extra bed which equates to what $45? Not bad at all.

Feels like a lush, far away resort but great location in the city, steps from night market. Staff was friendly and helpful at all times. Great breakfast was included.
Would recommend highly to anyone going to Chiang Mai.
