Owner description: Located in the center of town, the Chiang Mai Night Bazaar is not to be missed. Travelers can take in rows and rows of handicrafts, from purses to sparkling jewelry. Just make sure to watch your wallet as pickpockets abound.

This place is almost in center of Chiang Mai. It's open full night that's why it's called Night Bazar. I travelled this place by January 2016. It's huge u get fish massage & Handicraft items. Very close to this place there is a street food stalls I forgot the name but you get asian of course indian food cuisine. Plenty of stuff to buy.
Must try street food if you miss Indian Food there.

These night markets (like most) are designed to grab tourists. You can buy all manner of goods, some not worth it but you can also find some 'gems' (good stuff) don't be to quick to hand over your cash, be prepared to walk away, most vendors will haggle but don't offend by going to low. There are other markets where you can find more authentic but this is great for short stays and has some great food places.

This is much larger than expected with many booths serving all sorts of food and sweets. The people are friendly and welcoming. This is open each night. One attraction is a large fish tank filled with little fish that nibble on your feet when you submerge them...supposedly cleans up dead skin.

All of the city night markets are fantastic...street food is just superb... music.. beer.. cocktails.. all sorts of Asian food... the main night market occurs on a Sunday night just ten mins from the dusit princess hotel in the old town... it’s huge.. attended by the locals and tourists alike.... if you come here you simply have to try the street food... it’s fabulous... cooked fresh in front of you... don’t come here and eat at McDonald’s or Pizza Hut.. sample the real Asia.. you won’t regret it.... the markets are all over the place and very busy.. just a tip... crossing the road is an art form... crossings are for decoration.!!!

Night Bazaar in Chiang Mai is a really nice and lovely night market in the city center. There is a thousand of stands, with not only clothing, silk foulard ( i'm not sure that is a real suilk), but also little objects, typical lanterns, cotton bags, souvenirs,.. Ijn every case is better buy souvenir and objects there, than in Bangkok.
