Fun place with good food. Right next to night market and Fah Lanna Spa. The green curry is really good. The owner is really sweet.

“As it says, no view but good food”
Reviewed 29 January 2012

We visited the Lemongrass in Chinag Mai one evening whilst staying in Chiang Mai and despite the lack of view (you just look out onto a fairly boring street), we found the food to be pretty good. As with many Thai restuarants in thailand, it is fairly basic in its facilities, but the service was quick and efficient and the food was very tasty and plentiful. We did suffer the common Thai problem, in that, havng ordered a soup starter, this arrived at the same time as the main course! We had made the mistake of not asking for one before the other! But all in all, a good meal at a veryy reasonable price and well worth a visit.

“Fantastic example of thai cuisine at its best!”
Reviewed 20 January 2012

This well patronised eatery is located near the night market. The service is fast and friendly. It is clearly popular with foreigners going by the pace in which they enthusiastically dig into their grubs. We tried the fish cakes with sweet and sour sauce for appetiser and found it to be very tasty, even better with a cold Chang beer to chase it down. The fried snapper with 3 sauces was an explosion of flavour -spicy, sweet and sour in one mouthful, definitely morish and a must have on the menu. We try the seafood tom yum to compare with the quality we get back home in Melbourne (Australia) and found it also a surperb complement to the snapper and steamed rice. Total price including 2 drinks for 2 was 515 baht. Very well priced for a dinner for 2.

“Yummy and cheap”
Reviewed 10 January 2012

This restaurant was near the night market and we ate there nearly every night. The menu has a good selection and all entrees are $3-4 USD. Best spring rolls ever. Good curry and other dishes. Be sure to have the mango sticky rice! And giant mango smoothies.

The restaurant is not beautiful. But the tables are always full because the food is great.
