We did the cooking school tonight! Such a great experience I had to post right away. Pot and Nancy are amazing - so friendly, funny, and helpful - the experience was quite literally being invited into their home to visit and create an amazing meal.

We did the evening course - we began the class with a trip to the market, where Pot educated us on the ingredients we'd be using...we then went to the school and chose our dishes...we then each picked 5 dishes to prepare, all with fresh ingredients and wonderful guidance. I gotta say, the food I made was amazing - I cannot cook, but I turned out some wonderful dishes. I am still full.

This is an appropriate activity for everyone - families, singles, couples...if you're in Chiang Mai, this a "must do." Thank you Pot, Nancy, and little baby Peter!

We are middle-aged Australian tourists who really love their tucker (food). We enjoyed a wonderful day with Pot and Nancy in their own home as they taught us about Thai food – selection, preparation and cooking.
On an extremely hot April day, we were collected from our hotel along with the other guests and taken by Pot to the local produce market. Pot showed us and explained the different Thai herbs and curry pastes. We had some time to look around the market on our own. Pot then took us to his home where we met Nancy and the team.
Each person chose the dishes they wanted to cook. Pot as the Master Chef showed us how to prepare all of the ingredients. Each person, regardless of skill and confidence, was quickly into hands-on slicing and dicing, stirring, ladling and serving. Pot skillfully ensured everyone participated. We also learnt about vegetable carving – which we weren’t very good at, but we enjoyed giving it a go.
An excellent day in a friendly supportive environment that was a highlight of our trip. We really can’t believe that we made the recipes in the book. Now that we are home, we are off to the market to purchase the ingredients and do it all again – this time in our kitchen!!

“Must Do in Chaing Mai”

We booked our class with Pot and Nan directly with them based on TA reviews and we were not disappointed. It was an extremely hot day in late April, yet we barely noticed -- our class had so much fun -- and the food was terrific!

Do not eat breakfast before attending -- you will be eating excellent Thai food from about 10 AM - 3 PM and you will be stuffed! We did not need dinner either!

We were a group of three and the class was a total of nine; three Americans, two Brits, two Australians and two Dutch. At times there were three instructors amongst us, and we all felt we had good individual attention. We had a great time getting acquainted with our ingredients at the market, then learning the unique Thai preparation back at Nan and Pot's place. The class was well organized, yet held in a very relaxed atmosphere and you do not need to have prior cooking knowledge to enjoy this event. You end up with real knowledge of how to make several excellent Thai dishes and a good recipe booklet as well. We fully intend to use these recopies once we get back home. Best of all, we have Nan and Pot's contact information should we have questions!

I am not sure if they have changed their format permanently, but we were not required to select a set course menu as is indicated on their website. Instead, we were given 3-5 choices for each course, allowing each of us to have a customized class. We were able to sample each others dishes and take home the all the recipes.

Go to this class, you will not be disappointed..

“Wonderful that you can cook at home, good for families too”

We took this class at the end of December with our 2 children (ages 4 and 6 ), and we make the food often! Probably once per week we make something from the cooking class recipe book. The recipes are really good, and we can actually make them. Our favorites are the green curry, mussman nur, spring rolls, Tom Kai Gai. The kids loved visiting the wet market and of course the truck. Nancy and the team did a great job giving the kids tasks so they could participate, and when that failed, they had toys handy. She also adapted the recipes for us as our son has some food allergies.
In addition to teaching you how to make amazing Thai food, Nancy, Pol and the team are kind, caring and have huge hearts.

We booked the course online, which Nancy very quickly confirmed.
On the day, Pot picked us up at our guesthouse and chatted to us as we picked up everyone else (only 3 other people, but I know that class size can vary), and drove to the market where he showed us a lot of Thai cooking ingredients then let us have a bit of a wander. When we got to Pot and Nancy's house we got to pick 7 different dishes to cook, and didn't have to stick to one particular menu, which was great. Pot is a random guy but great fun and a good teacher. Best of all, the food you cook actually ends up tasting reeeeally good, and is surprisingly simple to make even if you can't really cook at all (can't say the same for vegtable carving though, which is pretty tricky!)!!! It would be impossible to eat all of the food though - you make so much!

Aside from this, the whole day is very enjoyable and feels very comfortable and relaxed. Pot and Nancy are very friendly, and I'd definitely recommend it.
