We enjoyed the pool, the simple clean and stylish room with a/c, the central situation and the large buffet included for breakfast.
Make sure you print the directions in Thai for the taxi driver because it's not easy to find.

We stayed at this beautiful hotel for two nights last week.
The staff were wonderful, our flights landed quite early in the morning and I had emailed ahead asking if an early check in was possible. On arrival at 9:45am we were extremely pleased to find that our room was already available. This gave us a chance to shower and change and take full advantage of our first day in Bangkok.
We had booked a Superior room in the main building and were allocated room 515 which was a corner room on the fifth floor with a long balcony covering two sides and overlooking the canal. This meant that we had wonderful views and also benefitted from a lovely breeze. The only downside was that there were no chairs in the room which could be taken out onto the balcony.
I asked for a kettle and this was immediately provided at no extra cost, along with cups and sachets of tea and coffee etc.
We ate in the hotel a couple of times and the meals were of a good standard and value for money.
The breakfast was a buffet with the hot items being regularly renewed.
The hotel is situated in a great position for visiting the Grand Palace and other sights in the Old City.
My only criticism was that it was our intention to watch Wimbledon tennis coverage in the evenings but found that the television in the room only had a limited number of channels with no sports at all available.
We did not use the small swimming pool, but this appeared to be very clean and very popular with the other guests.
All in all, this hotel was a quiet oasis of calm in the middle of a busting, vibrant city.

Room Tip: Chose a higher floor for the view

So we booked this hotel the day before we arrive I use trip advisor reviews some of the reviews are not right to write those people are Spoiled!! Don't forget this one is a 3 star hotel the main building is nice I don't know about the at the building ! The lobby is really cute with a pool that you can run away from the heat and very cozy area to sit and have a little drink or maybe a cup of coffee . Walking distance to shopping bats and fun places the only thing if you're coming with the taxi driver they have like a 20 meter walk from the main street , our taxi driver did not know where it is and we arrived at 6 pm in the middle of a monsoon rains it was kind of fun and funny . In July the monsoon is happening about every day from 4 to 6 be ready to be under a roof !!

We stayed at the St Regis a few nights before Lamphu Tree House. I wanted my bf to experience Thailand on another level. I've stayed here before and enjoyed the authenticity. I prefer the 2nd bldg and a larger room with a balcony overlooking the river. It's exciting to see the taxi boats cruise by and a few crocodiles as well. The staff is very nice and the bar on the corner is great for a drink too.
