Dear t_fabbb

Thank you for your kind feedback. Having return guests is the best compliment we can hope for. So glad to hear you enjoyed the modern Chinese menu at Red Rose, our on-site restaurant. We look forward to your next visit!

The only hotel we have ever used in Bangkok. It is small, friendly, well appointed and central to the tourist sites as well as being authentic right in the middle of china town, we wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

We arrived for check in at 7 am, after contacting the hotel they previous day and was told that an early check in would not be possible. After two flights from Manchester, to our delight the reception told us that our room was available, simply the best start to our holiday, thank you for accommodating us. We went for breakfast and then grabbed a couple of hours sleep before stepping out to explore.

We had a Ying hua deluxe room, great size on the same floor as the restaurant.

The hotel has managed to retain the character and atmosphere whilst making improvements. Good for the Street food, river taxis and for seeing the real Bangkok within walking distance, you can walk to the grand palace from here, no problem.

Great bar and cocktails, authentic breakfast relaxing and real.

Only thing I would say to the hotel is that if you are going to have a free mini bar, make sure that you have 2 beers or 2 packets of snacks especially if there are two guests, you did on our previous visit, in fact there may have been more.

If we come back to Bangkok were will stay here again.

Dear 27debs,

Thank you for your lovely comments and we are so happy to hear that you not only visited us 3 times, but plan to do so again. Thank you too for complimenting our rooms and the menu and drinks at Red Rose Restaurant. Regarding the mini-bar, it is a good suggestion and we will evaluate!

Kind regards,

very nice hotel, very quiet, although situated in the center of china town, spacy rooms, nice breakfast. staff friendly and helpfull. as soon as you come out of the hotel, you are in the noisy, crazy Chinatown, and can immediatly go to restaurants and street foot restaurants.

Returned to the mansion again. Still amazing and situated in the best neighbourhood of Bangkok with crazy chinatown right putside the door busy day and night (see images). Receieved first class service. A smaller room than last time which was a bit cramped for a family of five. I think it was because of a wedding. Anyway. Everything came at a very decent price. This would still be my favorite place to stay had I not found a small new hostell in the very heart of the Chinatown maze called the Merge hostel. This just looks too exiting - so next time we will stay there for a try. But will definately also go to visit Shanghai Mansion for their duck and drinks.
