I stayed at the Hilton for 5 nights. The room was very spacious and the picture widows in each room gave a stunning view of the river.

The hotel staff spoke good English and where all very attentive, and nothing was too much trouble. The buffet breakfast was excellent with free eggs cooked the way you like them and much much more, a full range of English as well as Asian dishes, the steamed buns were lovely.

The hotel was very clean and the bathrooms were large and they had a large bath as well as a separate shower. The bed was super comfortable with lovely soft pillows.

The hotel has a free boat that goes across the river. One boat goes to River City which is a shopping mall directly across the river from the hotel (about a 3 minute boat ride there).. There is nothing of particular interest in River City, it seems a fairly bare mall with only a few shops. Directly behind the mall is a medium sized supermarket it you need bits and pieces because apart from a 7Eleven next door to the hotel, there is nothing around on the hotel side of the river for bits and pieces.

If you walk along the river front of the hotel and turn left up a public walk way you will find a market selling the usual things like bags, shoes as well as the 7Eleven.

The other boat goes to the Sky Train (about a 7 minute boat ride). It is about a 2 minute walk from the boat ramp to the train. The boat goes about every 30 minutes. While it is reasonably convenient, it is the one draw back to the hotel as you always need to catch a boat, or river taxi to get anyway. You could catch a taxi, but Bangkok seems to be in constant grid-lock so getting anywhere in the city via road seems challenging. Having say that, the Sky Train is very efficient and easy to use even if you don't speak Thai, everything is in English as well. Having a hotel near the SkyTrain is helpful to avoid getting around by road.

Overall a very good experience at this hotel

Room Tip: The way the hotel is built it seems to give everyone a really good view, all rooms would be good I t...

Very nice hotel, lovely rooms with views over the river, good service, breakfast and very handy free boat shuttle across the river to a mall or to the train station (just be aware that in the evening the boat can be less reliable coming back from the mall as big cruise boats stop in the dock to pick up people, but there is an easy alternative to just jump in the public boat 50m down for a very small fee).
The pool area is nice, located on the 4th floor with a view to the river. It's a small pool but there are plenty of sun chairs in the sun and in the shadow, and don't miss the jacuzzi in the private area!
We only stoped at this hotel for 2 nights during our holiday in Thailand, so the location of the hotel on the "wrong side" of the river wasn't an issue, since we could wait for the shuttle, however if I would go on business and had to take a taxi over the bridge, I would think twice about staying on this side of the river (the traffic didn't look good).

Dear Lucica_R,

Thank you for choosing Millennium Hilton Bangkok.

We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us, and had the opportunity to experience “te Beach” on level 4 which is certainly one of our signatures.
Traffic throughout Bangkok can indeed be challenging at times, making the shuttle boat and sky train a convenient option, so if you are returning to Bangkok we look forward to welcome you back.

Thank you for sharing your comments.

Kind regards

We have been in the Millenium Hilton after 12 days in Kho Phangan. The Hotel is very nice located next to the Chao Phraya. The view from the rooms over Bangkok is fantastic (you should ask for a room from the 20th floor on). The bar on the top of the hotel is realy great an you can chill with a perfect view. The service was perfect and the staff friendly the whole time. We had a nightflight back to Germany and we could leave the luggage till 12 p.m. there. You can take the Hilton boat to come to the other side where you can take all the official boats for the river. The only thing I was a little bit disappointed was the cleanness of the shower - it was not as it seems to be in a 5* hotel.

This hotel is conveniently located close to many attractions. It has stunning views and you definitely get what you pay for! The top floor has a nice swimming-pool overlooking the Chao Phraya and quiet rest areas with comfortable deck chairs
Rooms are spacious and clean. I would rate it among the best in Bangkok

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view across the river

Beautuful hotel. Lovely view from executive lounge and rooms.
Great service. Good location.
Probably one of the best hotels I've stayed in!
I'd return to Bangkok just to stay here.
My only criticism - only serve alcohol in executive lounge between 6-8. Otherwise drinks overpriced.
