This is a modern 4-star hotel that desrves the rating. And it's good value! Welcoming and accommodating staff, good buffets, especially breakfast, small swimming pool and fitness facility. It's close to main thoroughfares and not far from the nearest SkyTrain station. It's also a short walk away from some of the most "interesting" streets in Bangkok, where everything and everyone seems to be for sale. It's a rush (which is more than I can say for the traffic) and fun if you let it be. The hotel staff, however, will help make one's walks, cab rides and excursions safe by offering advice, giving directions, and so on.

My husband and i spent four days here before heading to Koh Samui for 8 days. Clean rooms, nice breakfast and dining areas. We received great service and found it a good spot, although it's not right in the middle of everything, it was still within walking distance of the skytrain, great shops and restaurants. If you are looking for a hotel that ticks all the boxes and is value for money, this is the place.

We stopped at this hotel for four nights half way back from a trip to New Zealand. When the taxi driver took us through the back streets and another hotel car park I wandered where the heck we were going. Lounge bar very small as the down stairs restaurant has been closed. Swimming pool very small if you want one and not many places to relax in/on, about 13 sunbeds. The rooms were fine, but ours looked over a six lane motorway with a rail track next to it. Cars go 24/7 and several trains during the night, needless to say did not sleep very well, to add to that the air conditioning was noisy. Rubbish in the road and growing as we looked out our window. Staff very helpful and friendly though and food good.

Over the past eighteen months, I have spent regular time at the Majestic Grande, and have come to know the hotel well. The hotel is conveniently situated in Sukhumvit, close to major facilities, on a BTS route and offers comfortable well-priced accommodation. However, I must note that on my most recent visit, I did notice that standards are slipping - rooms not thoroughly serviced, soap and tea bags not replaced, wastepaper bins not always emptied, light bulbs needing replacing in both rooms and public areas. Also the little touches like the complementary fruit bowl not being delivered, complementray bottled water not being replaced... maybe some staff training might be an idea?
The Majestic Grande's lunch and dinner buffet has long been Bangkok's best kept secret, but, again, the choices this time were monotonous, and one gets the idea that the chef is not as motivated as before.
However, the rooms are comfortable, the wifi is excellent, the business centre is well-run, the staff are willing, enthusiastic and all speak excellent English and the piano in the lobby being played by an expert in the evenings is a great touch. Truly my home in Bangkok, but some updating and attention to detail is needed.

The hotel is close to the Center in a small side street. Hard to get cabs there as no traffic going thru and the taxi in front of hotel rips you off.
Rooms are Ok and clean and well equipped, could need a few touch ups however.
Breakfast is very plain and boring, but gets you started.
Service is OK, but refrain from Room Service, all covert in plastic and neither hot nor yummy by the time it arrives. French fries all soaked up.
Reception was friendly and helpful, and had some nice discount vouchers upon arrival.
Bell men are only lingering for tips and are not helpful if not expecting tips.
Spa only one therapist on duty all day, therefore no space and when asking Concierge to get in room massage he offered a full service lady, but was not able to offer anything serious. Again not interested to help either as he saw no commission coming his way.
