The Continental Bangkok was very nice. It has many amenities, with the roof top bar, pool and restaurant. Unfortunately, we did not have time to use any. However, we did enjoy the daily breakfast, which gave us many options to choose from. The only suggestion is to have muffins or some sort of "to go" options, as 2 of our days, we had to leave the hotel for a tour early in the morning and would of appreciated a grab and go section. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay at the hotel, the staff was very nice and attentive. One last note, we loved the location. It is right next to the BTS (train), food (street and indoor) and massage places. If we go back, we will most likely stay there again.

Room Tip: Must have Sky Benefits for better room on a higher floor.

Our room was on the 21st floor, lovely room with a nice view. The breakfast was great, big selection of food. The service in the restaurant was good, but the lovely young lady that stood out was Khom, she was awesome, lovely smile & gave the best service.

Stayed here for 4D3N. Hotel is situated at a central location - 5 mins walk to Asok BTS and Sukhumvit MRT atation. Also within waking distance to Terminal 21 shopping mall. The room is clean, in good condition and equipped with the basic amenities (safe, hair dryer, iron etc). Breakfast is good and with a view at their restaurant on the 35th floor (either that or 34th floor). Wouldn't mind staying here again for my next trip!

I was wondering how a fairly new hotel that was rated excellent by 55% of reviewers ended up only #120 of the best hotels in Bangkok, and now I got my answer after switching from my regular, far-better hotel during my recent 5-night stay.

Firstly, the room upkeep was below par. One of the pillows had stains on it and obviously sheet-change was skipped when staff deemed it "still clean" when they missed spotting the stain. Areas behind the toilet sink wasn't wiped regularly and had dirty stains. White paint-like stains were found on the toilet floor and the shower door joint just reeks of poor workmanship (see pictures).

The breakfast variety wasn't good and was unchanging for 5 straight days. I have also attached a picture of the breakfast table - stained and cracking at the joints.

The pool was miserably small and one could see the water wasn't filtered - dive under the surface and one sees bits of mucus-like stuff in the water.

And the wifi - it keeps getting cut off and one has to reconnect again and again. Instead of fixing the problem, I was told problem was with my phone - which wasn't true because everywhere I went, including cafes with wifi, I didn't experience any dropped wifi signal.

For the same money, I'm pretty sure you can get better hotels elsewhere.

Return to stay ? I won't. The problems listed can easily be fixed with a better attitude from the hotel. It's such a pity for it has a good location, but the people managing it seem complacent.

We are really sorry and disappointed with ourselves after reading your comments. After careful investigation we realized that our colleagues at the reception had received most feedback from you during your stay and a rectification process was immediately started. We however failed to follow up with you during your stay and let you leave with a disappointing impression of our hotel.

I would like to personally assure you that we care (a lot) about your feedback and most importantly about rectifying the errors and winning back your support. We failed to point out to you that our Buffet breakfast has over 50 items that rotate on a daily basis and is suitable for both western and Asian tastes. We also failed to point out that Wifi can be boosted to the speed you require. Thanks to your detailed feedback we have addressed all points. Ideally we believe in customizing stays and request to please contact me personally when you plan your next visit to Bangkok. We will be delighted to prove to you that we are capable of much better services. Please do accept our sincere apologies.

My husband and I had a room on the 16th floor it was a lovely room with a nice view. Pool area is great with a bar and it is worth paying the extra to get the breakfast and free drinks between 5pm-7pm great way to finish the day! The staff are very nice and the hotel is very clean and tidy.
