In my so many experience on Bangkok hotels, this hotel's room would be one of the smallest rooms for 4~5 star hotels. The other services and facilities are the same as 'standard' Novotel.

The majority of customers are European and Asian people without Chinese group tour.

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay with us and I am sorry that you found our rooms a little small, they are definitely in line with other 4 star rated hotels in the city, but yes at 30 square meters they could be a little smaller than older 4 star hotels and or 5 star hotels

We always strive to position ourselves above a 'Standard 4 Star' hotel with our modern interior design and hotel services and facilities. Sky on 20 our Rooftop Sky Bar is quite unique amongst other similar hotels in Bangkok and other facilities including our large infinity pool on the 9th floor with views, a large in-house Day Spa, as well as Food and Beverage outlets Gourmet Bar in the Lobby and Food Exchange on the 7th floor we hope that all of our guests leave very satisfied

2nd time I have stayed here and both times it has been a good experience. It is 5 minutes walk to Sukhumvit Road and another 5 minutes to the Skytrain and Metro stops. There are plenty of restaurants around the hotel. I stayed in one of the larger deluxe rooms and it was excellent. The restaurant for breakfast can get a little busy but the buffet breakfast is good. I do like catching the sunset at the Sky Bar. Even better that they have a happy hour. The pool deck is small but it is never crowded.

Fabulous central hotel in Bangkok. Our experience was perfect from the beginning until the end. Despite the fact our luggage was lost in London airport and I stayed two days without my belongings, the concierge staff couldn’t have done more for us to feel better and they were helping us every moment. Every single member of the staff we dealt with was smiling and friendly.
The swimming is very nice and the environment makes you feel relax even if it is busy. We didn’t have a drink in the roof top bar but we visited it and the views were stunning. We missed one of our breakfast due to an early check out and they gave us a box with a few snacks for the rest of our morning. If we ever visit Bangkok again, we will make sure we stay with you! Thanks for everything xxx

It is quite probable that the best of the hotels could also face certain challenges with respect to timing and services. It was around noon on the 6th Dec.,2017, when I along with 5 more friends reached Hotel Novotel, Sukhumvit-20, BKK Thailand. The occasion was my wife’s birthday. Two out of three rooms were ready for us to check-in however the third was delayed over a couple of hours. We could understand the situation during a 100% occupancy state and agreed to wait until the readiness of the third one.

Out of good hospitality gesture, the front desk offered us some complimentary drinks which we saved for the evening. The beautiful roof top SKY BAR at the 25th Floor had the most inhospitable staff and we were denied the service against the complimentary coupons.

What an insulting moment at the beginning of a birthday party for which we travelled all the way from India to BKK. We didn’t have any other option but to leave the place.
The bar manager actually felt great about his decision and made us realize the same at the time of our exit from the bar.

I conveyed the experience at the front desk which did all the good things to make us enjoy our day and the evening but all went in vein.

Thanks to Mr. Benjamin (GM) who heard us the next day and shared his concerns about our ill experience at the hotel. Despite his best efforts, we were kind of unwelcome at the bar the next evening as well.

Thanks to the front desk team that was sympathetic with us all through our stay.

There is a saying that the strength of a chain is as strong as its weakest link and the same happened to such a great team of Novotel, Sukhumvit-20. BKK- Thailand.

Room Tip: The view towards the pool side is good however the other side is not even worth uncurtained

I can confirm that I have spent a significant amount of time with our Rooftop team management team to ensure such an experience remains isolated, which I can appreciate does not directly assist you for your inconvenience, but I am certain such an instance will not repeat itself

As we discussed during your stay, it would be my pleasure to welcome you and your family back the next time you are in Bangkok, and when you next have plans to return to Bangkok, please do not hesitate to contact myself directly as I am sure your entire experience with us will be in keeping with your expectations and what you should have experienced from your first stay

Good things:
1. The room is brand new with a very comfortable bed.
2. Electronic devices are remote control. For example lights, curtains, and mirrors.
3. Fresh smelling lobby and many spaces for parking.

Bad Things:
1. Overpriced breakfast. There was no taste to the Thai food selection. We paid 450 each person. Price did not reflect the overall value of the breakfast.
2. The gym and swimming pool are new but small.

We paid 4,250 baht for a basic room and breakfast.

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay with us and I am pleased to see that you enjoyed overall our facilities, guest room, comfortable bed, and lobby areas

I was sorry to see however that you did not enjoy the breakfast selection, and felt that THB 450 (approx US$13) was over priced. We have a selection of freshly baked bakery items made daily, a full egg station, coffee, tea and fresh juices, fresh fruits cheeses, cold cuts, and all of the normal Western and Asian (including vegetarian) hot dishes expected for a breakfast, so would really appreciate to understand your specific queries on the value for the breakfast, and I have sent a personal message to you to understand this better.

Our breakfast is an area that we normally receive a lot of compliments, and in fact many of our regular guests have advised that our great breakfast is a large factor when returning to our hotel, on top of our other facilities including brand new guest rooms, infinity pool on the 9th floor and Sky on 20 our Rooftop Bar

We always appreciate the opportunity to review, and improve any aspect of our hotel received from feedback and I look forward to understanding your expectations better
