This is the most convenient way to the airport
Always on time and for the 30 baht ticket you can’t go wrong
Most stops are close to a connect line for metro to sky train.
Beats the BKK traffic at anytime.
Why use taxi?

Taxi to Sukhumvit took 90 min for me, and 120 min for my friends, and cost 550 Baht. Airport rail link costs just 35 Baht, and takes you to the airport in 30 min!
Be prepared for the crowd. Lots of localites, especially school kids, use the train!

Nothing much wrong with the train itself...clean, didn't have to wait too long at Suvarnabhumi and cheap. Tickets machines are easy to use and give change and each train is security checked prior to boarding at the airport. It's not exactly an express train and can get very crowded. The main problem, as the title suggests, are some of the passengers who never look up from their phones! Be prepared to be bumped, feet trodden on and generally knocked about!
Much better than being ripped off in a taxi and connects with the BTS etc at various stations on its route.
