We were there since last year, yet still recall our appreciation. This hotel offers nice river view with traditional thai atmosphere and services were warm & friendly like a family. We would strongly recommend this hotel especially for leisure.

Amazing hotel, excellent service, best food in Thailand. A relaxing oasis not far from top tourist attractions. The amazing views of the river life are an entertainment in its self. So much thought has been put into the decor of this hotel. Can't wait for my next visit.

We choose Loy La Long because we wanted something with a boutique feel and a view of the river, their website also sold it to us! (Worth looking at) We were welcomed with such kindness and the character of the floating guest house was overwhelming. Filled with Thai antiques and floral furnishings with the bustling bright lights of the river as a backdrop was just perfect, you even walk through the temple grounds to approach the property. We were treated as friends and the staff's humble nature was heart warming, so much so after our original 2 night stay we returned at the end of our holiday for one last visit. If you ever visit Bangkok and want to feel apart of local Thailand you have to stay at Loy La Long!! We will definitely return. If we could rate it more than 5* we would. Very satisfied customers, Jen and Alex, London Uk

Thank you Loy La Long for making Our Bangkok stay so very special.

My BF and I only stayed for one night as it was a bit more expensive than we would hope (our cap was usually about 60USD a night to give you a reference on what kind of travelers we are). But we decided to pay more as the reviews and the website were quite promising and unique.

I was a bit worried as I thought some of the photos of the place made the place look a bit grimey, but all that was brushed away when we walked in! The place was absolutely beautiful, very homey, wonderfully decorated (almost like if you were walking into an Anthropologie store, for all you Americans). The rooms, bathrooms, meeting areas were very clean and comfortable. There is an air conditioner in every room, but the outside communal areas aren't really air conditioned, so it gets pretty warm there though they do have fans. As it is a house though, nothing is really soundproof so we could hear people talking downstairs in the mornings.

Loy La Long was a bit hard to find if you are going by foot. We walked from the Hua Lamphong station, but if it weren't for my BFs great sense of direction, I probably would have gotten lost since we got there after dark. It's inside a temple area. However, once you walk out of the temple area, there are loads of taxis and tuk tuks available.

The people who worked there were extremely nice and helpful. Breakfast was really good and made to order from 8 AM - 11AM...they served us bacon, omelette, toast, and a small salad with really good homemade dressing.

I would definitely recommend this place if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. I wish we could stay another day so that we could just spend an evening reading by the river and watch the boats go by. I would recommend this for a romantic getaway, as well as for families (they have a suite/bunk style room).

Room Tip: We stayed in the blue room, which is on the 2nd floor and has a river view. You can open the windows...

You can't beat the location of this property, right in the heart of Chinatown and if you were any closer to the river you'd be in it.

Approximately 10 minutes walking from Hua Lamphong train station which connects you to Bangkoks efficient MRT underground. The neighborhood is very quiet at night, and it seemed to be safe. Chinatown and the surrounding side streets offer fantastic food stalls and small markets and shopping.

The people that operate Loy La Long are really friendly, genuine and caring. Western style
breakfast is included, tasty and made to order.

The room was beautifully decorated (Blue Room #5), with a corner view of the river, a small balcony, an antique tub (like a barrel). The bed was very comfortable and the room had a/c. I'm not sure if there was an in room safe, but we didn't feel it was necessary and left all our stuff in the room every day with no problems. The room was made up every other day or so.

Laundry was available for 30 baht.

The property is a little bit hard to find if you're arriving at night and your taxi doesn't know where he's going. It's very close to the Chinatown gate, from there go down
Thanon SongWat. Look for the entrance to the temple (there is a big lit up picture of the king near one entrance point) and walk in and towards the back (river) and eventually you'll find it.
