Usually my family and I stays at the grand hyatt erawan hotel. Since hyatt Place is new, we were delighted to give it a try.

Guests to reminded that grand hyatt is of a different category as hyatt place. So do not compare both at same level of expectation.

The drop off point is located at ground floor of the hotel and you need to take the lift up for check in at their lobby. Lobby looks very welcoming and cosy instead of the usual big grand ones at a 5* hotel.
Check in was swift and the receptionists can all speaks good English.

Breakfast is inclusive for all and level 3 of the hotel. Variety is not wide but decent. They have bread, hot and cold food. There are also Ala min egg station and noodle station too.

Room aminities provided is very limited. The standard items such as body wash, body lotion, shampoo, conditioner and toothbrush with toothpaste were provided for. However, by default no comb, cotton buds and cotton pads were provided. But I believe these should be available upon request. Hair dryer and ironing facilities can also be found in the room.

Bed is very comfortable and sheets are good too. The only thing we dislike is the down pillow which have the usual goose smell and it's too flat for our liking.

Hotel is walking distance to bts but not sheltered. Walk to bts is narrow too. So this is a downside to me. Especially we travelled during the monsoon season.

Hotel is value for money since nice breakfast included. But I would prefer grand hyatt accessibility to Hyatt Place and touch of luxury for my family escape.

Indeed we are a different category to Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok; while our value offering is the winning ticket!

We are delighted to see you appreciate all our team are doing to make a hotel a great choice when in Bangkok. Please ensure next visit you let us know what you would like set up in your room and we can do this for you. At the Gallery stand we have a full list of amenity items for free - our Odds and Ends menu (Sticker on your bathroom mirror); and we can happily set items you note in your message for your stay, no charge.

We are so glad see the value in our offering, and our top location only 250 metres from the BTS. An umbrella is essential this time of year for this quick walk and we do provide on loan to all guests in house.

The hotel is beautiful, with spacious rooms and full american comfort. Breakfast was free and amaziiiing, memorable is the more adequate word. The bar is unbelievable, the sunset up there is a must, and the pool has a great view too.

Location is a 10/10, as it is about 20 mins from temples, but walking distance from luxurious malls, great food, massage, etc.

The staff was amazing too.

The hotel does not have restaurant open for lunch or dinner but you can order and pick up at the lobby.

We took tours with the hotels recommendation and they were great, ask for specifically for Ms. Naiyana, she was the best guide.

We stayed 5 days booked 3 rooms. Staffs were friendly and helpful, the doormen/porters had lots of initiatives in assisting us with lots of shopping bags and luggages on different days. Breakfast spread had a balance spread of local and international menus which changes everyday. Hotel is modern and clean, room is specious. After a full day out shopping, the powerful hot shower was a great welcome for sore feet and tired muscle. Pool and gym were in excellent condition. Unfortunately due to the gloomy sky we did not visit the rooftop bar.

The only weird experience was the room service. We had to go down to the lobby to place the order and pick it up when it was ready.

Location was excellent. 5 min to bts Phrom Phong, Emporium and EmQuartier. Lots of good food and massage choices.

Room Tip: Rooms from level 20? and below need not have to change lift. Check with lobby.

Dear Stellartan

Thank you for taking the time to share your comments to our hotel with other travelers. We are grateful your group chose to stay at Hyatt Place Bangkok Sukhumvit.
We are delighted to see you appreciated the stylish design of our hotel, our pool, our gym area and a lovely relaxing shower - always needed after a hot day of shopping in bangkok! Our location is fantastic for shopping, massage and many cuisine and food options.

Thank you for partaking in our Gallery menu; while this is not a room service option. As a 'select service hotel' we keep our expenses low to deliver high value to you. Taste and quality must remain the priority as offering a 24/7 snacks or meal, while as a brand standard we do not offer this function. I do hope you still enjoyed your meal.

Decided to try this new place for 3 nights.

Location was good and near to very high end shopping malls, train station, massage and convenience shops.

Was allocated the room (3004) on the 30th floor and the view of the city was nice. Though had to change elevators at the lobby since it’s on a separate wing (?), the lobby elevators only ends at 19th floor.

Room was modern, spacious but the TV layout was awkward with the bed facing. The TV was located on the right wall of the bed instead of the center.

I like the idea of a small grocery shop on the reception or lobby area (slightly more expensive but with the added convenience).

Breakfast was good but gets crowded as the meal hall is small and the table layout caters mainly to small group of 2s. If you come with the family, chances of sitting together is slim or there is a long wait between 8-9am.

Overall highly recommended hotel.

Dear Michael C

Thank you for your review to share your recent stay and experience with other travelers. We really appreciate it. We appreciate your note to our great location being so close to EmQuartier and Emporium beyond all the other facilities surrounding our hotel in much dining, and massage.

Our block is small while packed with everything our guests could want for. However due to this we have a very tall slim building.
To run the lift from ground to 33rd floor would have reduced lift cabins and expaned the floor waiting time. There are change points at Lobby and Level 19.
Breakfast due to the current free nature, does make this a very busy zone. We are looking at ways not to apply a small fee for an elevated experience to slow down 350- 440 people wishing to dine due to the free offering.
Breakfast should be a calm zone and you must be able to enjoy with your loved ones. Thank you for your patience here.

Thank you for your recommendation and please do visit us again and thank you sincerely

Stayed for 4 nights and it was relaxing and very pleasant. The moment I stepped in, the staff at the reception are very friendly and accommodating. They have genuine smile all the time. Ms. Palmy is very welcoming and gave me some suggestions and recommendations around Bangkok.

The upgraded corner room was huge and had a perfect view of Bangkok skyline. Amenities were ok and room was always fresh and clean. Hotel location is few minutes walk to the Phrom Phong station and Emporium mall.

As a Globalist with Hyatt, u felt extra special and thats the reason why i only book my travels with Hyatt. I highly recommend this hotel as its affordable but can beat some 5-star hotels nearby, service and quality wise.
