A green, fresh and peaceful environment, with very comfortable and aesthetically appealing facilities. Excellent food, warm and gracious hosts and ever-smiling, helpful staff. You are lucky if you get the experience of staying here. Rejuvenating. Thank You Camilla and Luca.

I loved my stay at Chandra Ban! The garden, house and views are so beautiful and it makes for a very relaxing base to explore Kathmandu from. The delicious food (the best I had in Nepal) and wonderfully friendly staff alongside Luca and Camilla who are fantastic hosts makes for a magical place to stay in whilst visiting Kathmandu. I can't reccomend it highly enough! 10/10!

We stayed at the Chandra Ban retreat as a family of four with 2 older kids. We cannot recommend this place enough! We are residents of Kathmandu and have stayed at several other retreats within the foothills. As much as we have enjoyed our stays at the other places too, Chandra Ban is a step above the others for overall quality. It's set in a peaceful garden with a stunning view of Kathmandu valley. It was so quiet and we all slept very soundly, also owing to the very comfortable beds with high-quality linens. We stayed in a 2 BR apartment beautifully decorated with handicraft art/antiques from the region. The rooms were bright and airy with views of the trees. As we came during the tail end of winter, we also appreciated the double-glazing on the window and found the apartment to be much warmer than our house! There was also a small kitchenette that allowed us to prepare some simple meals for our son who is a picky eater. The rest of us ate the delicious meals prepared on sight, made with fresh seasonal ingredients. We particularly appreciated the real coffee made with stovetop espresso makers like we use at home, and the yummy cake and ice-cream. During the day we took walks along the hillside. For those wanting their mod cons, there is also cake TV, wifi and a huge selection of DVDs. The most amazing thing is that it took us less than an hour's drive from our home in Patan to get there! If coming from Kathmandu, the time would be halved. Hard to believe as it feels a world away from the hustle and bustle of the city. All in all a perfect weekend getaway!

Chandra Ban was a fantastic place to relax for a few days after exploring Kathmandu and Dhading. As we were the only visitors we were lucky to be upgraded to the penthouse apartment, which was beautifully furnished and with a great view over the Kathmandu valley. Camille and Luca were great hosts and served perfect food. I cannot find a fault!

After a trekking tour we spent 5 day at Candra Ban. Camilla and Luca are very goot hosts. We got a lot of helpful advices and a good service. We had a well equipped suite and an excellent view of Kathmandu from our terrace. Meals were delicious, a composition of Nepali and mediterranean cuisine. Decition for having lunch and dinner we could take at short notice at the same day.
We had a very goot time and can highly recommend a stay at Chandra Ban
