Radisson Hotel Kathmandu
Ranked #67 of 210 Hotels in Kathmandu
Reviewed 3 weeks ago via mobile

Stayed 7 nights at the Radisson during November. We usually stay here because the location is good - outside of Thamel but close to Thamel & other attractions.

The hotel isn’t bad (stayed in the new wing) but not good either. We paid extra for a premium room which hadn’t been well maintained. The bathroom continually flooded and soaked everything on the bathroom floor, the blinds in the bathroom were dirty & mouldy & the carpet also very dirty. We received no fruit basket or other food which we had expected & it appears other people received.

My main complaint however is in relation to some (not all) of the front of house staff who were very unfriendly & terse to my Nepali husband. I’ve had this experience with the Radisson before when they wouldn’t even let my husband into the hotel even though he was a paying guest & have complained previously but little seems to have improved. For some absurd reason the reception staff seem to resent and be rude to Nepali guests which is totally unacceptable. This is an issue which must be addressed by the management of the hotel. I must add however that the housekeeping staff & concierge were extremely friendly & helpful & I cannot fault them.

Stayed: November 2017, travelled as a couple

Hotel Radisson in Kathmandu as per our stay i would assuredly say that its the best hotel to stay long or short, its nice view hotel. Location of the hotel is located in the very beautiful area of Kathmandu. Hotel has wide space in the part of entertaining area, gymnastic, swimming pool and relaxing area. widely spread ed separate villa and building too. we had booked one room luxury type. Our room had good view from window we enjoyed out view while living. about hotel staff easy booking and check in process done by staff, every staff were helpful as well as honest we found. rooms were specious and clean total relaxing area of room made us so comfortable while living. they had provided us dine in facility too. Lovely hotel. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. Buffet breakfast was great - lots of food to choose from plus eggs cooked the way you like. Staff were excellent. Nearby shops are good to look at to, and the Thamel market is not that far to walk to (about 15 mins).

Stayed at the Radisson for five nights. Service was excellent from the front desk, to housekeeping, to the staff at the breakfast buffet. Location was convenient to Thamel, Garden of Dreams, and other shops and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again if back in Kathmandu. Hotel also made arrangements for activities such as hike and visit to Nagrakot, flight to see Mt Everest, etc.
