A stay at Peaceful Resort turned out to be the best decision during my travel in Bhutan. Earlier, I had scrutinised around 20-30 hotels/resorts for my stay at Thimpu, however someone from the locals suggested, to give Peaceful resort a go. I went ahead without seeing any picture and did not read a single on the resort. Located around 2-4 kms away from the main market area, this resort is tucked away in quite a serene location. We arrived at night when I could not see the design of the resort and its surroundings. However, as soon we arrived I could feel the warmth of a family at the reception. The entry is so rosy, there are books on one corner, seating arrangements on another side, Lord Buddha’s idol in front and bukhari in between. A traditional heating area. We were offered a cup of hot coffee on arrival and greeted by the wonderful staff who were mostly women. We got a room which had a lovely view of the mountains. Our room had cosy beds, heater, towels, other bath amenities, water bottle on arrival, coffee, tea, kettle and other things. The resort also has a laundry arrangement where you can give your clothes for wash. You can get them back in same day. Peaceful resort also has an in house dining where we enjoyed a sumptuous morning breakfast buffet. The food was yumm ranging from fresh juices to puri aloodam. The food cooked by their chef is really fresh and delectable. We also opted for dinner at the resort because the food is really good. They have a garden which was glittering with flower bloom in Autumn season. You can spend hours sitting there and talking to nature. The layout of the resort is quite meticulous with wooden stairs and aesthetic design. What made me really happy was their attentive staff. Ranjeet, Tshering and their team was amazing. They were the best hosts for me. Super attentive, caring these guys also dropped in and gave their time to educate us about the culture of Bhutan. Their attentiveness will always be etched in my heart. I feel my stay was very short there. I plan again to return to the vibrant Thimpu and Peaceful Resort. Thank you so much team.
Much love
