A newly built hotel, which is very comfortable. Well situated for visiting the city. Staff wonderful. Everything works well. Food excellent; we stuck to the Bhutanese section of the menu, which might be a little spicy for some, but was simply delicious. Our room of the 5th floor had good views over the city, and was well equipped. We were told before coming to Bhutan that WiFi and internet generally were poor, but this was not the case here. So why not 5 stars? Maybe I’m being a bit mean, but although there are little nods to being in Bhutan, it is eventually a little bland, and lacks real character. It also needs double glazing, as there are a lot of dogs outside whose main nocturnal activity seems to be barking, and this was actually a bit of a disturbance. But a great place to stay in Thimpu
